Answer
✅Answer: Please pay attention to the following narrations:
📚 Al-Kafi, vol. 3, page 89
Sama'a said: The Imam (Sadiq, peace be upon him) said: 'When the blood of an istihada woman soaks the cotton (and goes beyond it), she performs ghusl for every two prayers (i.e., for Dhuhr with Asr and for Maghrib with Isha) and also performs one ghusl for the Fajr prayer. If the blood does not go beyond the cotton, she must perform one ghusl every day and ablution for every prayer she performs. And if her husband wants to approach her after she has performed ghusl, he may. This is if the blood is fresh, and if it is a yellowish discharge, she only needs to perform ablution!'
📚 Al-Kafi, vol. 3, page 90
Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: 'The istihada woman performs ghusl at noon and prays Dhuhr and Asr (one after the other), then performs ghusl at sunset and prays Maghrib and Isha (together), then performs ghusl in the morning and prays Fajr. And there is no problem if her husband wants to approach her, except during the days of her menstrual period when her husband must stay away from (intercourse with) her.'
And he said: 'No woman ever does this for the sake of Allah and her divine duty except that she will be cured from it (the bleeding of istihada)!'
📚 Al-Kafi, vol. 3, page 88
Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: 'The istihada woman considers her days and does not pray during them, and her husband does not approach her. Then, when her days have passed and she sees that the blood is flowing beyond the cotton, she performs ghusl for the Dhuhr and Asr prayers, delaying Dhuhr and advancing Asr (and praying them together), and she also performs one ghusl for the Maghrib and Isha prayers, delaying Maghrib and advancing Isha (and praying them together), and she also performs ghusl for the Fajr prayer... until he said: 'And if she sees that the blood does not soak into the cotton, she performs ablution and enters the mosque and prays every prayer with one ablution, and such a woman's husband may approach her, except during her menstrual period!'
✅ Based on the above narrations and others, when a woman is considered to have istihada according to the narrations, she is required to place a piece of cotton inside herself, and three general conditions are possible for her:
1. The blood is so little that it does not soak the cotton. Such a woman performs one ablution for every prayer and prays.
2. The blood soaks the cotton but does not go beyond it. Such a woman performs one ghusl per day and performs one ablution for every prayer.
3. The blood is so much that it soaks the cotton and flows out from the other side and reaches other clothes, like today's pads. Such a person performs one ghusl for the Fajr prayer and prays, performs one ghusl for the Dhuhr and Asr prayers and prays them together, and performs one ghusl for the Maghrib and Isha prayers and prays them together and one after the other. In reality, such a person performs three ghusls a day.
✅ Placing cotton is necessary for an istihada woman to determine her condition.
✅ It is clear that an istihada woman whose blood soaks the cotton but does not flow out and who performs one ghusl a day cannot pray with her ghusl alone and must also perform one ablution for every prayer. However, a woman who performs three ghusls a day can pray with her ghusl.
✅ A yellowish discharge requires nothing but ablution.
