✅ Answer: Pay attention to the following narrations:

📚 Al-Faqih, Vol. 1, p. 285

Imam Baqir, peace be upon him, said: When the iqama for prayer is said, it is forbidden for the leader of the prayer and the people of the mosque to speak, except for sending forward a leader of the prayer!

📚 Al-Tahdhib, Vol. 2, p. 55

Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, said: When the muezzin says the iqama for prayer, speaking is forbidden, unless the group has not identified a leader for them (in which case they speak and designate someone to go forward)!

📚 Al-Tahdhib, Vol. 2, p. 55

Ibn Abi Umayr said: I asked Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, about a person who speaks during the iqama; the Imam said: Yes! So when the muezzin says 'qad qamat al-salat' (the prayer has been established), speaking is forbidden for the people of the mosque unless they have gathered from different places and do not have a leader, in which case there is no problem for one of them to say to another: 'So-and-so, go forward!'

✅ The three hadiths above are related to congregational prayer, according to which, when 'qad qamat al-salat' is said in the iqama of congregational prayer, what is considered speech is forbidden for the leader of the prayer and the followers, unless they do not have a designated leader and they speak to send a person forward to lead the prayer.

✅ But regarding speaking during the iqama and after the iqama in individual prayer, pay attention to the following narrations:

📚 Al-Kafi, Vol. 3, p. 304

Amr said: I said to Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him: Should a person speak during the adhan? He said: There is no problem. I said: What about during the iqama? He said: No!

📚 Al-Kafi, Vol. 3, p. 305

Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, said: O Abu Harun! The iqama is considered part of the prayer, so when you are saying the iqama, do not speak or gesture with your hand!

✅ In the two hadiths above, speaking and talking during the iqama and after the iqama in individual prayer is forbidden.

But also pay attention to the following narrations:

📚 Al-Tahdhib, Vol. 2, p. 54

Halabi said: I asked Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, about a person who speaks during his adhan or iqama; the Imam said: There is no problem!

📚 Al-Tahdhib, Vol. 2, p. 54

Hammad said: I asked Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, about a person who speaks after he has said the iqama; he said: Yes!

📚 Tahdhib, Vol. 2, p. 55

Hasan said: I heard Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, say: There is no problem for a person to speak if he wants while he is saying the iqama for prayer or after he has said the iqama!

📚 Tahdhib, Vol. 2, p. 55

Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, said: When you say the iqama for prayer, do not speak, for if you speak and talk, you must repeat the iqama!

✅ It is observed that although in hadiths 4 and 5 , speaking and talking during and after the iqama are forbidden, in hadiths 6 , 7 , and 8 , a dispensation for it has been granted, but according to hadith 9 , if a person uses this dispensation and speaks, he must repeat his iqama and start it from the beginning.

✅ The important point is that what is forbidden, prohibited, or has a dispensation in the above narrations is speech and talking, but saying 'peace be upon you, O Aba Abdillah' is not considered speech and is considered a type of divine remembrance. Because:

📚 Al-Kafi, Vol. 3, p. 337

Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, said: Whatever with which you remember Allah, the Exalted, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, is considered part of the prayer!

📚 Al-Kafi, Vol. 2, p. 496

Imam Baqir, peace be upon him, said: Indeed, our remembrance is considered from the remembrance of Allah, and the remembrance of our enemy is from the remembrance of Satan!

✅ Therefore, saying 'peace be upon you, O Aba Abdillah' after the iqama does not necessitate repeating the iqama, but there is no specific command or text from the Ahl al-Bayt, peace be upon them, to say this phrase after the iqama and before the takbirat al-ihram, and an obedient person placed the greeting to Imam Husayn, peace be upon him, as a way of showing gratitude to Imam Husayn, peace be upon him, in this place according to his own view, and some of the common people welcomed it, and today it has spread with the promotion of some preachers!

✅ What they have mentioned as the reason for this greeting and blessing in this specific place and have called it gratitude to Imam Husayn, peace be upon him, because our prayer is indebted to his prayer, has no narrative basis, and we are obligated to publish and act on the sunnahs mentioned by the Ahl al-Bayt, peace be upon them, but if someone has said this phrase after the iqama, no problem has been created for his iqama and prayer.
