Question 7: If we have doubt whether the prayer time has entered or not, can we perform the prayer, or must we ensure the entry of the time through legal means before praying?

📚 Wasa'il al-Shi'a, Volume 4, Page 169

Imam Baqir, peace be upon him, said: If after the passage of time, I do not perform the prayer, it is more beloved to me than performing the prayer while being in doubt about the entry of the time or performing it before its time.

The collection of narrations 📚Volume 3 of Wasa'il on the subject of prayer times emphasizes the necessity of certainty about the entry of the time for prayer.
