The Imam said: Woe to him! Does he not know that if he absolves him, he will have ten dirhams for every dirham, and if he does not absolve him, he will have only one dirham for every dirham?!

Ishaq ibn Ammar said: I said to Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him): What do you say about a man who gives a thousand dirhams or less or more to his slave and says: Absolve me for my beating of you, and for whatever has reached you from me, and for whatever I have frightened and shaken you with. So the slave absolves him and grants him absolution out of desire for what he has given him. Then the master finds the dirhams he had given him in a place where the slave had put them and he takes them. Is it permissible for him? He said: No... !

Musma' said: I said to Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him): I had entrusted a sum of money to a man. Then he denied it and swore an oath to me about it. Then after two years, he brought the money I had entrusted to him and said: This is your money, take it, and I made a profit of four thousand dirhams from it and it is with your money for you, and absolve me! So I took the money from him and refused to take the profit from him, and I endowed the money I had entrusted to him and refused to take the (profit) until I sought your opinion. What do you deem proper? The Imam said: Take half of the profit from him and give him the other half and absolve him. Indeed, this person is a repenter and Allah loves those who repent!

Sama'ah said: I asked the Imam (peace be upon him) about a man who marries a slave girl or contracts a temporary marriage with her, and then that slave girl absolves him from her dowry. Is it permissible for him to have intercourse with her before giving her anything? The Imam said: Yes! When she absolves him, she has in fact received it from him, and if he leaves her before intercourse, the woman must return half of the dowry to the man!
✅ In some situations, it is appropriate, necessary, or happens that a person asks for forgiveness and absolution from someone on whom he has a right or it is possible that he has a right.
Also, in some situations, a person can or it is virtuous for him to absolve another person from a right he has on him so that he may be freed from its worldly or otherworldly consequences.
✅ In some situations, the person who has the right can, even without the other person's knowledge, absolve him so that he may be freed from its consequences.
✅ This matter, given the wide range of injustices against people and mutual rights, finds a lot of practical use for all or most people.
✅ Absolving and forgiving in these cases is considered a kind of charity and has generally been praised in the narrations.
✅ Of course, each type of it has some specific rulings and consequences that have been explained by the infallible Imams (peace be upon them).
✅ But in general, to do it, the debtor asks the creditor or the likely creditor to forgive him for the rights and dues he has had on him and absolve him, and with the acceptance of the person who has the right, that person is absolved and is freed from its consequences.
✅ Sometimes it is necessary for this to be done reciprocally.
✅ In the narrations, phrases such as: 'Absolve me' or 'Forgive me' and the like are mentioned for this, but there is no specific phrase, and with any sentence that conveys this request, one can ask the other person for absolution, and with the true acceptance of that person, absolution has taken place.
✅ Also, according to the above narrations and others, we can absolve living or deceased individuals who had a right on us and are worthy of forgiveness so that they are not held accountable by Allah, and doing this makes our creditors also behave in the same way with us, Inshallah, because: Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said in 📚 Al-Kafi, Vol. 2, p. 138: 'It is written in the Torah: O son of Adam, be as you wish! As you judge, you will be judged!'
✅ For absolving others from the rights and injustices they have on us, the best phrases available are found in the unique supplication 39 of Sahifa Sajjadiyya, which I strongly recommend to all readers of this text to read carefully with its meaning as soon as possible, as Imam Sajjad (peace be upon him) beautifully absolves the people in question and has taught us very beautiful requests for our salvation from the injustices of others, and being deprived of this supplication is truly a great loss.
✅ The description of the importance and beauty of this supplication is beyond my humble pen, and I strongly recommend you to refer to and recite this supplication repeatedly.
✅ By seeking absolution from people who have financial and non-financial rights on us, we can reduce our otherworldly obstacles, and by absolving others, we benefit from the blessings of this forgiveness and important charity. Inshallah.
✅ You must refer to supplication 39 of Sahifa.
