Answer

✅Answer: Please pay attention to the following narrations:

📚 Al-Kafi, Vol. 5, p. 455

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: 'There is no mut'ah except with two things: a specified and defined duration and a specified and defined payment!'

📚 Al-Kafi, Vol. 5, p. 455

Abu Basir said: '(Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him) said: 'It is necessary to say these conditions:

Meaning: I marry you in mut'ah for a certain number of days for a certain amount!'

📚 Al-Tahdhib, Vol. 7, p. 262

Isma'il ibn Fadl al-Hashimi said: 'I asked Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) about mut'ah.' He said: 'A known dowry for a known duration!'

📚 Al-Faqih, Vol. 3, p. 464

Imam Baqir (peace be upon him) said about mut'ah: 'It is necessary and unavoidable to set something as her dowry, be it little or much! And the dowry is whatever they agree upon in temporary and permanent marriage!'

✅Based on the above narrations and others, specifying the duration and specifying the amount of the dowry are among the necessary conditions for a temporary marriage (mut'ah), and therefore, omitting the dowry invalidates the mut'ah, and such a contract lacks the necessary conditions and is void.

✅However, regarding the omission of mentioning the duration in a temporary contract, please refer to the following link:
