✅Answer:
Please pay attention to the following narrations:
📚 Al-Kafi, vol. 5, p. 232
A person says: I asked Imam al-Ridha (peace be upon him) about a Christian who becomes a Muslim while he has wine and pork and is in debt. Can he sell his wine and pork and pay off his debt? The Imam said: No.
📚 Al-Kafi, vol. 5, p. 231
Imam al-Baqir (peace be upon him) said about a person who is owed some dirhams by another person and the debtor sells wine or pork in front of this person and pays off his debt: There is no problem, it is lawful for the one who receives the payment but it is forbidden for the seller.
✅According to the narration 📚 Al-Kafi, vol. 5, p. 232 from Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him), this matter applies when the seller is a 'dhimmi', meaning a Christian or Jew under the protection of Muslims. Although it is forbidden for the 'dhimmi' person to sell wine and pork, a Muslim can receive his payment from the money that the 'dhimmi' earned through this means.
📚 Al-Tahdhib, vol. 7, p. 136
Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: Among the 'suht' (illicit gain) and forbidden earnings is the price of wine....
📚 Al-Faqih, vol. 4, p. 8
In the hadith of prohibitions, Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) narrated from his ancestors from the Messenger of God (peace of God be upon him and his family) that: The Messenger of God (peace of God be upon him and his family) forbade wine from being bought and from being drunk, and he said: God has cursed wine and the one who plants its tree (for this purpose), and the one who extracts its juice (for this purpose), and the one who drinks wine, and the one who serves it, and the one who sells and buys wine, and the one who consumes its price, and the one who carries it, and the one to whom it is carried.
📚 Al-Tahdhib, vol. 7, p. 135
In a hadith, Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: The Messenger of God (peace of God be upon him and his family) said: The price of wine, the dowry of fornication, and the price of a non-hunting dog are among the 'suht' (i.e., forbidden things that lead to disgrace and a devastating punishment).
What is 'suht'?
✅In several narrations, the buying and selling of wine and pork and their prices have been introduced as forbidden and 'suht', and a few examples of them were mentioned.
