✅ Answer: Please pay attention to the following narrations:

📚 Faqih, Vol. 1, p. 50

📚 Thawab al-A'mal, p. 32

📚 Al-Kafi, Vol. 3, p. 70

📚 Mahasin, p. 429

Translation: Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: 'Whoever performs ablution and wipes it with a towel (dries it), one good deed is written for him, and whoever performs ablution and does not wipe it with a towel (does not dry it) until his ablution dries (by itself), 30 good deeds are written for him.'

📚 Tahdhib, Vol. 1, p. 364

Translation: Muhammad ibn Muslim said: 'I asked Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) about using a towel or handkerchief before (the ablution) dries.' The Imam said: 'There is no objection.'

📚 Tahdhib, Vol. 1, p. 364

Translation: Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: 'When a person performs ablution, it is not objectionable to wipe the face with a cloth, provided that the cloth is clean.'

📚 Faqih, Vol. 2, p. 354

Translation: Mansur ibn Hazim said: 'I saw Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) while he was in a state of Ihram. He performed ablution and then took a towel and wiped his face with it (rubbed it on his face and dried it).'

📚 Mahasin, p. 429

Translation: Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: 'The Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) had a piece of cloth with which he would wipe his face when he performed ablution, and then he would hang it on a nail, and no one but him would touch it.'

✅ According to the first hadith, not drying the ablution results in an increase in a person's good deeds to 30, while drying it with a towel or handkerchief reduces the good deeds to one. However, in several hadiths, the permission to dry the ablution has been explicitly and clearly transmitted, but in most of them, it only talks about drying the face.

✅ In the hadiths and fatwas of the general public, drying the ablution is condemned. The Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), by mentioning the above narrations, have taught their followers the permission and lack of objection in drying the ablution. But the superiority of not drying the ablution, as mentioned in the first hadith, is beyond any doubt. According to the first hadith, we leave our ablution to dry by itself and receive 30 good deeds, but according to the narrations, there is also no doubt about the permission to dry the ablution.
