📚 Amali al-Saduq, p. 55
Translation: Abasalt Harawi said: When Ma'mun (may the curse of Allah be upon him) gathered the people of discourse from the Muslims and the people of religion from the Jews, Christians, Majus, Sabeans, and other thinkers for Imam Reza, peace be upon him, no one stood up except that he was refuted with proof as if he had swallowed a stone, until Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Jahm stood up and said: O son of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), do you believe in the infallibility of the prophets? The Imam said: Yes.
📚 Uyun al-Akhbar, p. 267
Translation: Among what Imam Reza, peace be upon him, wrote to Ma'mun, may the curse of Allah be upon him, regarding the beliefs of the Shia is that he wrote: Indeed, Allah does not make it obligatory to obey someone whom He knows will lead people to misguidance and astray, and He does not choose for His message and does not select from His servants those whom He knows will disbelieve in Him and His worship and will worship Satan instead of Allah.
📚 Uyun Akhbar al-Reza, Vol. 1, p. 201
Translation: Imam Reza, peace be upon him, said in a hadith about Prophet Yusuf (Joseph), peace be upon our Prophet and his family and him: ...but (Yusuf, peace be upon him) was infallible, and an infallible person never intends or has the will to sin and does not commit a sin...
✅The infallibility of the divine prophets is one of the certainties of the Shia beliefs, and we observe in several of the above narrations a clear statement of the infallibility of the prophets.
✅In Shia hadith books, including the book Bihar al-Anwar, Vol. 11, p. 72 onwards, long hadiths from the Ahl al-Bayt, peace be upon them, have been narrated that explain the verses of the Quran from which some people have imagined the lack of infallibility of the divine prophets and invalidate the illusion of the lack of infallibility of the prophets. Due to their length, it is not possible to mention them in this short summary, and we have only mentioned a few of the general points that convey the infallibility of all the prophets, peace be upon them, and the believers can refer to these narrations to strengthen their belief in the infallibility of the prophets.
✅The narrative and Quranic and hadith proofs for the infallibility of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, and Fatimah Zahra, peace be upon her, and the pure Imams, peace be upon them, are so many and abundant that they may not be fully enumerable.
✅The followers of the usurpers of the caliphate have narrated in their books narrations that cast doubt on the infallibility of the prophets, and these claims of theirs have been severely criticized by the Ahl al-Bayt, peace be upon them, and the Shia, both specifically and generally, and have been refuted with decisive arguments. To put it more clearly, questioning the infallibility of the prophets is specific to the followers of the usurpers of the caliphate, because in order to impose the usurpers as imams and caliphs on the people, since the first, second, and third were the origin and source of corruption and sin and spent a long time of their lives in open idol worship, by incorrectly interpreting the ambiguous verses of the Quran and fabricating various narrations, they tried to make the prophets appear as non-infallible in order to justify the non-infallibility of their own imams. But the Shia have always believed in the infallibility of the prophets and the divine angels, and especially the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, and Fatimah Zahra, peace be upon her, and the twelve pure Imams, and they have numerous and clear proofs for this belief of theirs.
