Answer
✅Answer: Please pay attention to the following narration:
📚 Misbah of Shaykh Tusi, p. 94
Translation: Hisham ibn al-Hakam narrated that Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: 'Whoever performs a two-rak'ah prayer between Maghrib and Isha and recites these verses in the first rak'ah after Al-Hamd:
📖 Surah al-Anbiya, verses 87 and 88
And in the second rak'ah after Surah al-Hamd, recites this verse:
📖 Surah al-An'am, verse 59
And when he finishes the recitation, he raises his hands and says:
(Mention his need in place of 'so and so')
And then you say:
And asks Allah for his need (in place of 'so and so'), Allah, the Most High, will grant him what he has asked for.'
✅Point 1: This prayer is narrated from Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) and is performed between the Maghrib and Isha prayers, and it has been named the Ghafilah prayer.
✅Point 2: This two-rak'ah prayer is different from the four-rak'ah supererogatory prayers of Maghrib.
✅Point 3: These two rak'ahs cannot be considered part of the supererogatory prayers of Maghrib, because the integration of two supererogatory prayers with each other requires a specific narration, and in the absence of a narration, their ruling is separate.
For example, the Ja'far prayer is one of the prayers that can be performed and put in place of other supererogatory prayers because the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) have given permission for it:
📚 Man La Yahduruhu al-Faqih, Vol. 1, p. 554
Translation: Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: 'Perform the Ja'far prayer at any time of the night or day you wish, and if you wish, you can count it as part of your supererogatory night prayers, and if you wish, you can count it as part of your supererogatory day prayers, and it will be counted as both part of your supererogatory prayers and as the Ja'far prayer.'
✅ In the above narration, it is seen that we can perform the Ja'far prayer instead of four rak'ahs of the supererogatory night prayers or four rak'ahs of the supererogatory day prayers, and in this case, it is both the Ja'far prayer and it suffices for our four rak'ahs of supererogatory prayers, just as it is mentioned in the hadith in 📚 Uyun Akhbar al-Rida, Vol. 2, p. 182, that Imam Rida (peace be upon him) would perform the Ja'far prayer for the second and third two-rak'ahs of his night prayer and would count them as part of the night prayer. However, counting the Ghafilah prayer as part of the two rak'ahs of the supererogatory prayers of Maghrib has no basis due to the lack of a narration permitting this.
