The man said: In your opinion, and your judgment, if such and such happens, what will the ruling (or saying) concerning it be? The Imam told him: Stop! (Be silent!) Everything I told you in response is from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his family)! We (Ahl al-Bayt) are not people of 'in my opinion and judgment it is such' in anything!

Imam Kadhim (peace be upon him) was asked: Are people permitted to abandon asking about what they need? So the Imam said: No!
✅ In view of the above and other Ahadith:
Firstly: No one has the right to a personal opinion or judgment regarding religious matters, and in every matter, everyone must submit to the divine pronouncements and the divine Proofs (Hujaj).
Secondly: What the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) have specified for us regarding the manner of gaining awareness of religious rulings are 'Tafaqquh' (acquiring deep understanding) and 'Su'al' (asking) the scholars, which are two complementary universal duties.
Unfortunately, these two duties have been changed and replaced by 'Ijtihad' and 'Taqlid', which have fundamental and structural differences with 'Tafaqquh and Su'al', while 'Ijtihad and Taqlid' have nothing but condemnation in the tongue of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace of Allah be upon them all).
✅ The two commendable terms 'Tafaqquh and Su'al' and the two reprehensible terms 'Ijtihad and Taqlid' have multiple Ahadith, specified limits, and a detailed explanation, and mentioning the Ahadith for each requires a separate section. In summary: We are commanded to 'Tafaqquh and Su'al', not 'Ijtihad and Taqlid'!
