Question 2096: My friend has to go to the Italian tax office for an interrogation. Is there a prayer (dua) reported from the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) that he can recite so that the interrogator is lenient and, Inshallah (God willing), his issue is resolved?

                Answer
✅ Answer: As examples, please pay attention to the following few hadiths:
📚 Al-Kafi Vol. 2, p. 621
Ibrahim ibn Mahzam narrated from a man who heard from Imam Abul Hassan (peace of Allah be upon him) that he said: Whoever recites Ayat al-Kursi (the Verse of the Throne) before sleeping, will not fear paralysis (falij), if Allah wills. And whoever recites it after every obligatory prayer, no harm from a stinging creature will reach him.
And he said: Whoever recites 'Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad' (Say, He is Allah, the One) between himself and an oppressive tyrant (jabbar), Allah, the Mighty and Exalted, will prevent and protect him from that tyrant. He should recite this Surah from the front, from the back, from the right side, and from the left side. If he does so, Allah, the Mighty and Exalted, will grant him good and protect him from his evil...!

Amir al-Mu'minin (peace of Allah be upon him) said: When the face of Pharaoh became clear to Prophet Moses (peace be upon him), Moses (peace be upon him) said:
Then Imam Sadiq (peace of Allah be upon him) said: This is the supplication of us, the Ahl al-Bayt, when facing a ruler whose injustice we fear!

Mufaddal said: Imam Sadiq (peace of Allah be upon him) said: O Mufaddal! Protect yourself from all people with 'Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Rahim' (In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful) and with Surah 'Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad' (Say, He is Allah, the One). Recite it from your right side, from your left side, from the front, from behind, from above your head, and from beneath your two feet. And when you enter upon an oppressive ruler, when your gaze falls upon him, recite this Surah three times, count it with your left hand, and then do not separate from (the recitation of) this Surah until you exit from his presence!
4 When Mu'awiyah and his companions (may Allah curse them) invited Imam Mujtaba (peace of Allah be upon him) for a debate, the Imam recited this supplication:
Then he said: This is the word of relief and opening (Faraj and Gushayesh)!
5 Imam Sadiq (peace of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever enters upon a ruler whom he fears, when he stands before him, he should recite (the first verse of Surah Maryam), meaning 'Kaf Ha Ya 'Ayn Sad' and clench his right hand into a fist, closing one finger with the recitation of each letter.
Then he should recite 'Ha Mim 'Ayn Sin Qaf' and similarly clench his left hand into a fist (meaning, close one finger of the left hand with the recitation of each letter) and then recite this verse:
And open his two hands in the face of (the ruler), which will consequently suffice him against his evil!
