Answer
✅ Answer: Pay attention to the following narrations:
📚 Ma'ani al-Akhbar, p. 349
Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: The interpretation of your saying 'Ameen' is: O Lord, fulfill it!
Sheikh Saduq says: In another hadith, it is stated that 'Ameen' is one of the names of Allah, the Mighty and Sublime!
📚 Al-Kafi, Vol. 2, p. 487
Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: The one who supplicates and the one who says 'Ameen' share in the reward!
📚 Ghurar al-Hikam, Hadith 5579
Amir al-Mu'minin (peace be upon him) said: The one who listens to the remembrance of Allah is considered a rememberer!
📚 Al-Kafi, Vol. 2, p. 187
Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: No group of three or more believers gathers together except that angels, equal in number to them, are present with them. If they make a supplication for good, the angels say 'Ameen' to it; if they seek refuge from evil, the angels ask Allah to avert it from them; and if they ask for a need, the angels intercede at the divine court and request its fulfillment!
📚 Bihar, Vol. 1, p. 202
Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, says to His angels when the people of gatherings of remembrance and knowledge return to their homes: Write the reward of what you observed of their deeds. So they write the reward for each one’s actions, but they do not write for some who were with them. Allah, the Exalted, says: Why did you not write for so-and-so? Was he not with them and present among them? They say: O Lord, he did not participate with them in any speech or say anything with them! Allah, Glorified be His Majesty, says: Was he not their companion? They say: Yes, O Lord. He says: Write him with them, for these (the people of gatherings of remembrance and knowledge) are a group whose companion is never wretched or deprived of good. So they write him with them, and Allah, the Exalted, says: Write for him a reward like the reward of one of them!
✅ From the above hadiths and others, it is clear that one can benefit from and participate in public prayer gatherings in at least four ways:
First, by repeating and reciting the supplications along with the reciter, so that they are considered a supplicator, and the angels say 'Ameen' to their prayer.
Second, by saying 'Ameen' to the supplicator’s prayer, thereby sharing in their reward.
Third, by listening to the supplicator, so that they are considered a rememberer of Allah.
Fourth, by being present and attending the gathering!
✅ Therefore, someone who attends prayer gatherings like the Kumayl supplication and others can participate in this worship by repeating the supplication with the reciter, saying 'Ameen' at the end of each section, listening to the supplication, and being present in the gathering!
Of course, the levels of these individuals differ, and it is preferable to participate in the best and most complete manner with the people of the gathering in remembrance and knowledge of supplication.
