Question 1959: Are the actions of the infallibles (Ma'sumin) similar to the actions of the Divine?
✅ Answer: Pay attention to the following narrations:

Amir al-Mu'minin (peace be upon him) said in a hadith: 'Beware of interpreting the Quran based on your own opinion until you learn and understand it from the scholars (the infallibles). For indeed, there may be a revelation that resembles human speech, while it is divine speech, and its interpretation does not resemble human speech. Just as nothing from His creation resembles Him, likewise the actions of the Lord, the Most High, do not resemble the actions of humans, and nothing from His speech resembles human speech. Therefore, the speech of Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, is His attribute, while the speech of humans is their action. So do not liken divine speech to human speech, lest you be destroyed and misguided!'

Safwan said: I said to Imam Abi al-Hasan (peace be upon him): 'Inform me about the will of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, and the will of the creation!'
The Imam said: 'The will of the creation is their intention and what follows it in terms of apparent action. But as for Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, His will is the act of creation itself, and nothing else. For He does not look, intend, or think, and these attributes are far removed from Him. These are the attributes of the creation. Therefore, the divine will is the action itself, not something else! Without words or speech, without effort, and without thought, He says: 'Be,' and it is. And there is no quality to His action, just as there is no quality to His essence!'
✅ Based on the above narrations and others, the divine action does not resemble the actions of the creation, and the divine action has no quality. Since the infallibles (peace be upon them) are creations, their actions do not resemble the actions of Allah, the Exalted, because the actions of the creation, including the infallibles, have qualities.
✅ The cursed exaggerators (Ghulat), by attributing the creation 'from nothing' (la min shay), which is exclusive to Allah, the Exalted, to the infallibles (peace be upon them), fall into exaggeration and claim the impossible, committing the grave error of likening divine actions to the actions of the infallibles!
