✅ Answer: Refer to the following narrations:

1⃣ Hannan narrated from his father that Imam Baqir (peace be upon him) said to me: O Abu al-Fadl! Do you not have a place where you sit and trade with people? I said: Yes! The Imam said: There is no believer who, in the afternoon or morning, goes to his seat or market, and when he places his foot in the market, says:

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّی أَسْأَلُکَ مِنْ خَیْرِهَا وَ خَیْرِ أَهْلِهَا

Except that Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, appoints someone to protect him and guard him until he returns home. Then it is said to him: Today, by Allah's permission, you are safeguarded from its evil and the evil of its people, and today the good of it and the good of its people is bestowed upon you!

When he sits in his place, he says:

أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِیکَ لَهُ وَ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّداً عَبْدُهُ وَ رَسُولُهُ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّی أَسْأَلُکَ مِنْ فَضْلِکَ حَلَالًا طَیِّباً وَ أَعُوذُ بِکَ مِنْ أَنْ أَظْلِمَ أَوْ أُظْلَمَ وَ أَعُوذُ بِکَ مِنْ صَفْقَةٍ خَاسِرَةٍ وَ یَمِینٍ کَاذِبَةٍ

When he says this, the angel appointed to him says: Rejoice! Today, no one in the market is more fortunate than you! Certainly, you have hastened toward good deeds, your sins have been erased, and soon, what Allah has apportioned for you will come to you in abundance, lawful, pure, and blessed!

2⃣ Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: When you enter your market, say:

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّی أَسْأَلُکَ مِنْ خَیْرِهَا وَ خَیْرِ أَهْلِهَا وَ أَعُوذُ بِکَ مِنْ شَرِّهَا وَ شَرِّ أَهْلِهَا اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّی أَعُوذُ بِکَ مِنْ أَنْ أَظْلِمَ أَوْ أُظْلَمَ أَوْ أَبْغِیَ أَوْ یُبْغَی عَلَیَّ أَوْ أَعْتَدِیَ أَوْ یُعْتَدَی عَلَیَّ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّی أَعُوذُ بِکَ مِنْ شَرِّ إِبْلِیسَ وَ جُنُودِهِ وَ شَرِّ فَسَقَةِ الْعَرَبِ وَ الْعَجَمِ وَ حَسْبِیَ اللَّهُ لا إِلهَ إِلَّا هُوَ عَلَیْهِ تَوَکَّلْتُ وَ هُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِیمِ.

📚 Al-Kafi, Vol. 5, p. 156

3⃣ Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: Whoever enters a market or a congregation mosque and says once:

أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِیکَ لَهُ وَ اللَّهُ أَکْبَرُ کَبِیراً وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ کَثِیراً وَ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ بُکْرَةً وَ أَصِیلًا وَ لَا حَوْلَ وَ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ الْعَلِیِّ الْعَظِیمِ وَ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ

It is equal to an accepted Hajj for him!

4⃣ Imam Baqir (peace be upon him) said: Whoever enters a market and sees its sweet, bitter, and sour aspects, says:

أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِیکَ لَهُ وَ أَنَّ مُحَمَّداً عَبْدُهُ وَ رَسُولُهُ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّی أَسْأَلُکَ مِنْ فَضْلِکَ وَ أَسْتَخِیرُ بِکَ مِنَ الظُّلْمِ وَ الْغُرْمِ وَ الْمَأْثَمِ.

📚 Al-Mahasin, p. 40

5⃣ Imam Reza (peace be upon him) narrated from his ancestors that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family) said: Whoever, upon entering the market, says:

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِیکَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْکُ وَ لَهُ الْحَمْدُ یُحْیِی وَ یُمِیتُ وَ هُوَ حَیٌّ لَا یَمُوتُ بِیَدِهِ الْخَیْرُ وَ هُوَ عَلَی کُلِّ شَیْءٍ قَدِیرٌ

He will be rewarded as many times as the number of creations Allah, the Exalted, brings into existence until the Day of Resurrection!

6⃣عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ وَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ آبَائِهِ عَنْ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: أَكْثِرُوا ذِكْرَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ إِذَا دَخَلْتُمُ الْأَسْوَاقَ وَ عِنْدَ اشْتِغَالِ النَّاسِ فَإِنَّهُ كَفَّارَةٌ لِلذُّنُوبِ وَ زِيَادَةٌ فِي الْحَسَنَاتِ وَ لَا تُكْتَبُوا فِي الْغَافِلِينَ

📚 Al-Khisal, p. 614

Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) said: When you enter the markets, remember Allah abundantly, especially when people are busy. This is the atonement for sins and an increase in good deeds, and you will not be recorded among the heedless!

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ عَجِّلْ لِوَلِیِّکَ الْفَرَجَ وَ الْعَافِیَةَ وَ النَّصْر
