Question 1928: Is it permissible to lean on one's hands when standing up during prayer?

✅ Answer: Consider the following narration:

📚 Al-Kafi, Volume 3, Page 336

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: When a person prostrates and intends to stand up, they should not lean on their two hands with their fingers pressed into their palms like someone kneading dough. Instead, without placing their buttocks on the ground, they should spread their palms on the ground and lean on them to stand up!

✅ Based on the above narration, leaning on the hands to stand up during prayer is permissible. However, leaning on clenched fists is prohibited, and it is recommended to spread the palms flat on the ground and lean on them to rise.
