✅ Answer: Consider the following narrations:

1⃣عَنْ عَلِیِّ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِیمَ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنِ النَّوْفَلِیِّ عَنِ السَّکُونِیِّ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ مِنْ فِقْهِ الرَّجُلِ أَنْ یَرْتَادَ مَوْضِعاً لِبَوْلِهِ.

📚 Al-Kafi, Vol. 3, p. 15

Imam Sadiq (PBUH) said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: It is a sign of a person's understanding and knowledge to seek a suitable place for urination!

2⃣ قَالَ الصَّادِقُ علیه السلام کَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلی الله علیه و آله و سلّم أَشَدَّ النَّاسِ تَوَقِّیاً لِلْبَوْلِ حَتَّی أَنَّهُ کَانَ إِذَا أَرَادَ الْبَوْلَ عَمَدَ إِلَی مَکَانٍ مُرْتَفِعٍ مِنَ الْأَرْضِ أَوْ مَکَانٍ یَکُونُ فِیهِ التُّرَابُ الْکَثِیرُ کَرَاهِیَةَ أَنْ یُنْضَحَ عَلَیْهِ الْبَوْلُ

📚 Al-Faqih, Vol. 1, p. 15

Imam Sadiq (PBUH) said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) was very meticulous about protecting himself from urine, to the extent that when he intended to urinate, he would choose a high place or a place with much earth to avoid urine splashing on him!

3⃣عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ سَعِیدِ بْنِ جَنَاحٍ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سُلَیْمَانَ الْجَعْفَرِیِّ قَالَ: بِتُّ مَعَ الرِّضَا فِی سَفْحِ جَبَلٍ فَلَمَّا کَانَ آخِرُ اللَّیْلِ قَامَ فَتَنَحَّی وَ صَارَ عَلَی مَوْضِعٍ مُرْتَفِعٍ فَبَالَ وَ تَوَضَّأَ وَ قَالَ مِنْ فِقْهِ الرَّجُلِ أَنْ یَرْتَادَ لِمَوْضِعِ بَوْلِهِ وَ بَسَطَ سَرَاوِیلَهُ وَ قَامَ عَلَیْهِ وَ صَلَّی صَلَاةَ اللَّیْلِ.

📚 Al-Tahdhib, Vol. 1, p. 33

Sulaiman Jafari said: I spent the night with Imam Reza (PBUH) on the slope of a mountain. When the last part of the night came, he got up, moved away, and chose a high place to urinate. He then performed ablution (purification from urine) and said: It is a sign of a person's understanding to seek a suitable place for urination. He spread his cloak and stood on it to perform the night prayer!

4⃣عَنْ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِی جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ: لَا تَسْتَحْقِرَنَّ بِالْبَوْلِ وَ لَا تَتَهَاوَنَنَّ بِهِ الْحَدِیثَ.

📚 Al-Ilaal al-Shara'aa, p. 356

Imam Baqir (PBUH) said: Never consider urine as insignificant or unimportant!

5⃣عَنْ أَبِی بَصِیرٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ: إِنَّ جُلَّ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ فِی [مِنْ] الْبَوْلِ.

📚 Al-Mahasin, p. 78

Imam Sadiq (PBUH) said: Most of the punishment in the grave is related to urine!

6⃣عَنْ أَبِی خَالِدٍ عَنْ زَیْدِ بْنِ عَلِیٍّ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَنْ عَلِیِّ بْنِ أَبِی طَالِبٍ قَالَ: عَذَابُ الْقَبْرِ یَکُونُ مِنَ النَّمِیمَةِ وَ الْبَوْلِ وَ عَزَبِ الرَّجُلِ عَنْ أَهْلِهِ.

📚 Al-Ilaal al-Shara'aa, p. 309, Hadith 2.

Amir al-Mu'minin (PBUH) said: The punishment of the grave comes from backbiting, urine, and a man distancing himself from his wife!

✅ According to the above narrations and others, the Ahl al-Bayt (PBUH) have emphasized the importance of avoiding urine splashes on the body and clothing and stressed the significance of purification. In this regard, they have advised choosing suitable places to prevent urine from splashing on the body and clothing.

✅ Unfortunately, in recent decades, there has been a deliberate spread of toilet stones that lack sufficient depth, width, and length to prevent urine splashes. Choosing such stones for toilets is contrary to the principles of jurisprudence and understanding, according to the above narrations. It is necessary to select stones with adequate length, width, and especially depth to prevent urine from splashing on the body and clothing.

✅ It is clear from the above narrations and others that if, due to the use of unsuitable toilet stones or other reasons, urine splashes on clothing or the body during excretion, one should never disregard it due to its small amount or lack of visible contamination. Neglecting purification or being indifferent to urine splashes can lead to grave consequences, including the punishment of the grave, as the majority of the punishment in the grave is due to urine!

✅ However, being obsessive and purifying the body and clothing without certainty of urine contact is condemned in the narrations.
