✅ Answer: Please pay attention to the following hadiths:

1⃣عَنْ عَلِیِّ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ رَفَعَهُ قَالَ: قَالَ: الْخَتْمُ عَلَی طِینِ قَبْرِ الْحُسَیْنِ أَنْ یُقْرَأَ عَلَیْهِ إِنَّا أَنْزَلْنَاهُ فِی لَیْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ.

📚 Al-Kafi, Vol. 4, Page 588

Ali ibn Muhammad narrated in a marfu' (elevated) chain that the Imam said: Sealing with the soil from the grave of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) is done by reciting Surah 'Inna Anzalnahu Fi Laylatil Qadr' (Surah Al-Qadr) over it!

2⃣عَنْ عَبْداللَّهِ الْأَصَمِّ عَنْ أَبِی عَمْرٍو شَیْخٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْکُوفَةِ عَنِ الثُّمَالِیِّ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْداللَّهِ علیه السلام قَالَ: کُنْتُ بِمَکَّةَ وَ ذَکَرَ فِی حَدِیثِهِ قُلْتُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاکَ إِنِّی رَأَیْتُ أَصْحَابَنَا یَأْخُذُونَ مِنْ طِینِ الْحُسَیْنِ یَسْتَشْفُونَ بِهِ هَلْ فِی ذَلِکَ شَیْءٌ مِمَّا یَقُولُونَ مِنَ الشِّفَاءِ قَالَ قَالَ یُسْتَشْفَی بِمَا بَیْنَهُ وَ بَیْنَ الْقَبْرِ عَلَی رَأْسِ أَرْبَعَةِ أَمْیَالٍ... إلی أَنْ قَالَ... وَ یُفْسِدُهَا الشَّیَاطِینُ وَ الْجِنُّ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْکُفْرِ مِنْهُمْ یَتَمَسَّحُونَ بِهَا وَ مَا تَمُرُّ بِشَیْءٍ إِلَّا شَمَّهَا وَ أَمَّا الشَّیَاطِینُ وَ کُفَّارُ الْجِنِّ فَإِنَّهُمْ یَحْسُدُونَ ابْنَ آدَمَ عَلَیْهَا فَیَتَمَسَّحُونَ بِهَا فَیَذْهَبُ عَامَّةُ طِیبِهَا وَ لَا یَخْرُجُ الطِّینُ مِنَ الْحَیْرِ إِلَّا وَ قَدِ اسْتَعَدَّ لَهُ مَا لَا یُحْصَی مِنْهُمْ وَ اللَّهِ إِنَّهَا لَفِی یَدَیْ صَاحِبِهَا وَ هُمْ یَتَمَسَّحُونَ بِهَا وَ لَا یَقْدِرُونَ مَعَ الْمَلَائِکَةِ أَنْ یَدْخُلُوا الْحَیْرَ وَ لَوْ کَانَ مِنَ التُّرْبَةِ شَیْءٌ یَسْلَمُ مَا عُولِجَ بِهِ أَحَدٌ إِلَّا بَرَأَ مِنْ سَاعَتِهِ فَإِذَا أَخَذْتَهَا فَاکْتُمْهَا وَ أَکْثِرْ عَلَیْهَا ذِکْرَ اللَّهِ جَلَّ وَ عَزَّ...

📚 Kamil al-Ziyarat, Page 280

Thamali says: I was in Mecca, and I said to Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him): May I be your ransom! I see that our companions take the soil of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) and seek healing from it! Is there truly healing in it as they say? The Imam replied: Healing is sought from it within a distance of four miles!

To the extent that he said: The devils and disbelieving jinns touch it and corrupt it, and nothing passes by it except that it smells it. However, the devils and disbelieving jinns envy the children of Adam for it and touch it, resulting in the loss of most of its fragrance. The soil of the shrine does not leave unless countless numbers of them prepare for it. By Allah, the soil is in the hand of its owner, and they touch it. However, with the presence of the angels, they cannot enter the shrine, and if some of the soil remains intact, no one uses it for healing without being cured immediately. So when you take it, conceal it and frequently mention Allah, the Exalted and Glorified...

✅ According to the above and other hadiths, as long as the soil of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) remains in the shrine, the devils and disbelieving jinns cannot access it due to the presence of angels. But once it is taken, many devils and disbelieving jinns, out of envy for humans, prepare to corrupt and steal the blessing of the soil of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him). Even when it is in the person's hand, they touch it, causing most of its fragrance to be lost, thereby impairing its effectiveness for healing diseases.

Therefore, it is recommended in the above narrations that when we take the soil from the shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him), we should conceal it, frequently recite divine mentions over it, and seal and lock it with the recitation of Surah Al-Qadr to protect it from the access of devils and disbelieving jinns.

Thus, sealing with the soil from the grave of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) involves reciting Surah Al-Qadr over the cloth in which the soil is wrapped or the sealed container in which the soil is placed.

✅ Each time the soil is opened for use, after it is sealed again, Surah Al-Qadr should be recited over it to seal it again.

✅ According to Shia hadiths, the soil from the grave of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) is a definite and immediate cure for all diseases except the disease of death. However, the important point is that the 'taking of the soil,' 'preserving the soil,' and 'using the soil' have specific etiquettes and conditions that, along with the necessity of certainty in the healing power of the soil, faith, and recognition of the guardianship and sanctity of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him), must be observed to achieve the desired result.
