✅ Answer: Consider the following narrations:

1⃣عَنْ أَبِی عَبْداللَّهِ قَالَ: إِنَّ نَبِیّاً مِنَ الْأَنْبِیَاءِ مَرِضَ فَقَالَ لَا أَتَدَاوَی حَتَّی یَکُونَ الَّذِی أَمْرَضَنِی هُوَ الَّذِی یَشْفِینِی فَأَوْحَی اللَّهُ إِلَیْهِ لَا أَشْفِیکَ حَتَّی تَتَدَاوَی فَإِنَّ الشِّفَاءَ مِنِّی.

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: A prophet among the prophets became ill and said, 'I will not seek treatment until the one who made me ill is the one who cures me!' So, Allah revealed to him: 'I will not cure you until you seek treatment, for healing comes from Me!'

2⃣عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ أَبَاجَعْفَرٍ هَلْ یُعَالَجُ بِالْکَیِّ فَقَالَ نَعَمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ جَعَلَ فِی الدَّوَاءِ بَرَکَةً وَ شِفَاءً وَ خَیْراً کَثِیراً وَ مَا عَلَی الرَّجُلِ أَنْ یَتَدَاوَی وَ لَا بَأْسَ بِهِ.

Muhammad bin Muslim said: I asked Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him): Can one be treated with cauterization? He replied: Yes! Indeed, Allah has placed much blessing, healing, and goodness in medicine. What harm is there in seeking treatment? There is no issue with it!

3⃣عَنِ الْحُسَیْنِ بْنِ عُلْوَانَ عَنْ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قال: قِیلَ یَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَنَتَدَاوَی قَالَ نَعَمْ فَتَدَاوَوْا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَمْ یُنْزِلْ دَاءً إِلَّا وَ قَدْ أَنْزَلَ لَهُ دَوَاءً...

📚 Qurb al-Isnad, p. 52

Imam Baqir (peace be upon him) narrated from Jabir that it was said to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family): Should we seek treatment? He replied: Yes! Seek treatment, for Allah has not sent down any disease without also sending its cure!

4⃣فی رِوَایَةِ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِی عَبْداللَّهِ الْبَرْقِیِّ عَنْ عَلِیٍّ علیه السلام أَنَّهُ قَالَ یَجِبُ عَلَی الْإِمَامِ أَنْ یَحْبِسَ الْفُسَّاقَ مِنَ الْعُلَمَاءِ وَ الْجُهَّالَ مِنَ الْأَطِبَّاءِ وَ الْمَفَالِیسَ مِنَ الْأَکْرِیَاءِ

Amir al-Mu'minin (peace be upon him) said: It is obligatory for the Imam to imprison corrupt scholars, ignorant doctors, and bankrupt borrowers!

5⃣عَنِ السَّکُونِیِّ عن أَبِی عَبْداللَّه قال: مَنْ ظَهَرَتْ صِحَّتُهُ عَلَی سُقْمِهِ فَیُعَالِجُ نَفْسَهُ بِشَیْءٍ فَمَاتَ فَأَنَا إِلَی اللَّهِ مِنْهُ بَرِیءٌ

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: Whoever is predominantly healthy but treats himself with something and dies as a result, I disassociate from him before Allah!

6⃣عَنِ الْقَنْدِیِّ قال: دَخَلْتُ الْمَدِینَةَ و مَعِی أَخِی سيف فَأَصَابَ النَّاسَ الرُّعَافُ وَ کَانَ الرَّجُلُ إِذَا رَعَفَ یَوْمَیْنِ مَاتَ فَرَجَعْتُ إِلَی الْمَنْزِلِ فَإِذَا سَیْفٌ أَخِی یَرْعُفُ رُعَافاً شَدِیداً فَدَخَلْتُ عَلَی أَبِی عَبْداللَّهِ علیه السلام فَقَالَ یَا زِیَادُ أَطْعِمْ سَیْفاً التُّفَّاحَ فَرَجَعْتُ فَأَطْعَمْتُهُ إِیَّاهُ فَبَرَأَ

Qandi said: I entered Medina and my brother Saif was with me. People were suffering from nosebleeds, and when a person had a nosebleed for two days, they would die!

I returned home and suddenly saw my brother Saif suffering from a severe nosebleed. I went to Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him). The Imam said: O Ziyad! Give Saif an apple to eat! So, I went back and gave it to him, and he was cured!

7⃣عَنِ ابْنِ بُکَیْرٍ قَالَ: رَعَفْتُ فَسُئِلَ أَبُو عَبْداللَّه علیه السلام عَنْ ذَلِکَ فَقَالَ اسْقُوهُ سَوِیقَ التُّفَّاحِ فَسَقَیْتُهُ فَانْقَطَعَ الرُّعَافُ

📚 Makarem al-Akhlaq, p. 220

Ibn Bukair said: I had a nosebleed, and someone asked Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) about it; the Imam said: Give him a drink of apple soup, and I drank it, and the nosebleed stopped!

✅ According to the above and other narrations, if a person becomes ill and the illness predominates over their health, they must consult a skilled and knowledgeable doctor and treat their illness with permissible medicine.

Therefore, a person who suffers from frequent nosebleeds must consult a knowledgeable doctor to diagnose the cause and receive appropriate treatment, as Allah has not sent down any disease without also sending its cure.

Additionally, apples and apple soup are mentioned as treatments for a certain type of nosebleed in the narrations.
