📚Al-Kafi, vol. 6, p. 486

📚Al-Kafi, vol. 6, p. 487

📚Al-Kafi, vol. 6, p. 488
Translation: Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, said: 'A man passed by the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him and his family, and his beard was long and tall. The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him and his family, said: 'What harm would it have been for this person if he had made the shape and appearance of his beard good?' This news reached the man, and he arranged and made the shape of his beard good to an average beard, neither long nor short, and then he came to the Prophet, peace be upon him and his family. When he came to him, he said: 'Act and do things in this manner.'
📚Al-Kafi, vol. 6, p. 486
Translation: Sudayr said: 'I saw Imam Baqir, peace be upon him, taking (trimming) the hair of the two sides of his beard (or the hair of the two cheeks) and taking (trimming) the hair under the jaw and the chin.'
✅It is necessary to mention that regarding the meaning of 'yubattinu lihyatahu' (he trims his beard), the above meaning is mentioned only in Lisan al-Arab and others, from the words of 'Shammar,' which was mentioned in the previous post, and due to the absence of another meaning in the lexicon, this was deemed sufficient, but other meanings are also possible, which would be confirmed and certain by asking the infallible Imams, peace be upon them.

📚Al-Kafi, vol. 6, p. 487

📚Al-Kafi, vol. 6, p. 487
Translation: Hasan Zayyat said: 'I saw Imam Baqir, peace be upon him, with his beard made light and thin.'
📚Ja'fariyat, p. 156
Translation: Ali, peace be upon him, said: 'Trim the hair of the temples (the hair hanging between the eye and the ear) and the hair of the two sides of the beard.'
✅From the above narrations, several points can be concluded:
1️⃣ The maximum length of the beard is one handful, and being longer than this is severely condemned.
2️⃣ What is clear from this post and the two previous posts is the condemnation of shaving the beard, and no permission for shaving the beard has been observed.
3️⃣ Although the limit of the beard is one handful, in today's conditions of dissimulation (taqiyyah), it is not practical for many, and this limit is observed as much as possible, and the important thing is to avoid shaving the beard.
4️⃣ The hair on the two sides of the beard, the hair under the chin, and the hair on the cheeks, although they are considered part of the 'beard,' can be trimmed according to the above narrations, but no specific limit has been set for it, and there is no permission to shave it.
5️⃣ What is known today as 'the professor's beard' is not in line with any of the narrations on this topic. In addition to the absence of any permission to shave any part of the beard, it should be noted that the phrase 'akhadha min' (took from) in some of the above narrations means 'to trim' and not to shave it.
6️⃣ Observing caution in the ambiguous cases of this matter and other matters is something that the Ahl al-Bayt, peace be upon them, have recommended, so that, God willing, all ambiguities of this matter will be resolved with the appearance of our Master (Imam Mahdi).
7️⃣ Shaving the hair of the cheeks as a 'right of women' is a vulgar, ignorant, and baseless statement without any religious evidence.
