1⃣عَلِیُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِیمَ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنِ ابْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ مُعَاوِیَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَجُلٌ لِأَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ إِنَّا نَجِدُ لِطَعَامِ الْعُرْسِ رَائِحَةً لَیْسَتْ بِرَائِحَةِ غَیْرِهِ فَقَالَ لَهُ مَا مِنْ عُرْسٍ یَکُونُ یُنْحَرُ فِیهِ جَزُورٌ أَوْ تُذْبَحُ بَقَرَةٌ أَوْ شَاةٌ إِلَّا بَعَثَ اللَّهُ تَبَارَکَ وَ تَعَالَی مَلَکاً مَعَهُ قِیرَاطٌ مِنْ مِسْکِ الْجَنَّةِ حَتَّی یُدِیفَهُ فِی طَعَامِهِمْ فَتِلْکَ الرَّائِحَةُ الَّتِی تُشَمُّ لِذَلِکَ.

📚 Al-Kafi Vol. 6, p. 282

Mu'awiya ibn 'Ammar narrates: A man said to Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him), 'We sense a fragrance and aroma in the wedding food that is unlike any other scent!' The Imam replied, 'There is no wedding feast in which a camel, cow, or sheep is sacrificed unless Allah, Blessed and Exalted, sends an angel with a bead of paradise musk to mix it with their food! So, the scent you perceive is from that.'

2⃣عَلِیُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ بُنْدَارَ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ بَعْضِ الْعِرَاقِیِّینَ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِیمَ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ جَعْفَرٍ الْقَلَانِسِیِّ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ: قُلْتُ لَهُ إِنَّا نَتَّخِذُ الطَّعَامَ وَ نَسْتَجِیدُهُ وَ نَتَنَوَّقُ فِیهِ وَ لَا نَجِدُ لَهُ رَائِحَةَ طَعَامِ الْعُرْسِ فَقَالَ ذَلِکَ لِأَنَّ طَعَامَ الْعُرْسِ فِیهِ تَهُبُّ رَائِحَةٌ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ لِأَنَّهُ طَعَامٌ اتُّخِذَ لِلْحَلَالِ.

📚 Al-Kafi Vol. 6, p. 282

Ja'far narrates: I said to Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him), 'We prepare food and decorate it nicely, but we do not find the fragrance and aroma of the wedding feast in it!' The Imam replied, 'This is because the fragrance in the wedding food comes from paradise since it is prepared for what is lawful!'
