Muhammad ibn Fadhl al-Baghdadi said: I wrote to Imam Hadi (peace be upon him): May I be your ransom! Ramadan enters, and the intention of visiting Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) and your father in Baghdad fills my heart. Should I stay at home until Ramadan passes and then visit them, or should I travel during Ramadan and break my fast? The Imam replied: There is a special virtue and reward for the fast of Ramadan that is not found in other months. So, when Ramadan arrives, it is preferred to begin with it and prioritize it!
📚 *Mustadrak al-Sara'ir, p. 67*
Dawood Sarami said: I asked Imam (Hadi) (peace be upon him) about visiting Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) and his ancestors during Ramadan, whether it is better to travel and visit them. The Imam said: Ramadan has such a virtue and reward that is not found in other months. So, when Ramadan arrives, it should be prioritized, and fasting during it is better than making up for it later. When Ramadan arrives, it should be given priority, and it is better to start with it!

Should I go to visit him and break my fast during the travel, or should I stay until Eid al-Fitr and visit him one or two days after Eid? The Imam said: Stay until Eid al-Fitr arrives! I asked: Is this better? He replied: Yes! Have you not read in the Quran (Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:185): 'Whoever of you witnesses the month should fast it'?

📚 *Bihar al-Anwar, vol. 101, p. 99*
Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) was asked about visiting Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) in Ramadan. He said: Whoever comes to the grave of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) with humility, for the sake of Allah, and with repentance and seeking forgiveness on one of the three nights of Ramadan (the first, middle, or last night), their sins will be removed like leaves falling from trees in a strong wind, and they will return as pure as the day they were born. In addition, they will receive the reward of someone who performed Hajj and Umrah that year, and two angels will greet them, whose voices will be heard by every living being, except jinn and humans. One will say: O servant of Allah! You have been purified, so continue your deeds. The other will say: Congratulations! You are promised forgiveness and grace from your Lord!
📚 *Iqbal al-A'mal, p. 408*
Imam Jawad (peace be upon him) said: Whoever visits Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) on the 23rd night of Ramadan, which is expected to be the Night of Qadr, will be greeted by 24,000 angels and prophets who have sought permission from Allah to visit Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) on that night!
📚 *Al-Tahdhib, vol. 6, p. 49*
Abdul Rahman said: Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: Whoever visits Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) on one of these three nights, Allah will forgive their past and future sins! I asked: What are these nights, may I be your ransom? He replied: The night of Eid al-Fitr, the night of Eid al-Adha, and the night of the middle of Sha'ban!
✅ From narrations 1⃣, 2⃣, and 3⃣, it is evident that staying at home and fasting during Ramadan is preferred over traveling for visiting the Imams (peace be upon them) and breaking the fast. One can travel to visit them after the completion of Ramadan.
✅ However, in general, visiting Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) during Ramadan, especially on the first night, the middle night, the last night, the Night of Qadr, and the night of Eid al-Fitr, has its own special virtues.
