Answer

✅ Answer: Abu al-Qasim Abdul Azim ibn Abdullah ibn Ali ibn al-Hasan ibn Zayd ibn al-Hasan ibn Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him and his forefathers) is one of the great Hasani Sayyids who narrated hadiths from Imam Jawad and Imam Hadi (peace be upon them). According to narrations, he was highly esteemed and held a distinguished scholarly position:

📚 Mustadrak al-Wasail, Vol. 17, p. 321

Abu Hammad Razi said: I visited Imam Hadi (peace be upon him) in Samarra and asked him about matters of permissible and forbidden things, and the Imam answered my questions. When I bid farewell to him, he said to me: O Hammad! When something related to your religion becomes difficult for you in your region, ask Abdul Azim ibn Abdullah Hasani about it and convey my greetings to him!

✅ Regarding the confirmation of his tomb being in the city of Rey and the reward for visiting him, pay attention to the following narration:

📚 Thawab al-A'mal, p. 124

📚 Kamil al-Ziyarat, p. 324

Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated from someone from the people of Rey who visited Imam Hadi (peace be upon him): I entered upon Imam Abu al-Hasan Hadi (peace be upon him), and the Imam said to me: Where have you been? I said: I visited Imam Husayn (peace be upon him). The Imam said: Know that if you had visited the tomb of Abdul Azim in your region, it would be as if you had visited Imam Husayn ibn Ali (peace be upon them)!

✅ However, the above narration does not mean that visiting Abdul Azim is a substitute for visiting Imam Husayn (peace be upon him) or abandoning the visitation of Imam Husayn (peace be upon him). Rather, it encourages visiting Abdul Azim at all times, highlights its value, and emphasizes benefiting from his visitation in the specific circumstances mentioned in the following narrations:

📚 Al-Kafi, Vol. 4, p. 59

Imam Kazim (peace be upon him) said: Whoever cannot maintain ties with us should maintain ties with our poor Shia, and whoever cannot visit our graves should visit the graves of the righteous among our brothers!

📚 Al-Faqih, Vol. 2, p. 43

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: Whoever is unable to maintain ties with us should maintain ties with the righteous among our Shia, and the reward of maintaining ties with us will be written for them. Whoever is unable to visit us should visit the righteous among our friends, and the reward of visiting us will be written for them!

📚 Al-Tahdhib, Vol. 6, p. 104

Ali ibn Uthman Razi said: I heard Imam Kazim (peace be upon him) say: Whoever is unable to visit us should visit our righteous brothers, and the reward of visiting us will be written for them. Whoever cannot maintain ties with us should maintain ties with our righteous brothers, and the reward of maintaining ties with us will be written for them!

✅ Abdul Azim does not have a specific ziyarat text in the narrations, and for his visitation, general supplications and remembrances for visiting the graves of believers are used.
