📚 Al-Faqih, vol. 1, p. 266

📚 Al-Kafi, vol. 6, p. 460

Imam Kazim (prayers of God be upon him) said about the angels 'Musawwimin' in Surah Al Imran, verse 125: 'It means turbans.'

The Messenger of God (prayers of God be upon him and his family) wore a turban, and he let it hang down from the front and the back, and Gabriel also wore a turban and let it hang down from the front and the back!

📚 Al-Kafi, vol. 6, p. 461

Imam Sadiq (prayers of God be upon him) said: 'The Messenger of God (prayers of God be upon him and his family) tied a turban on the head of the Commander of the Faithful (prayers of God be upon him) with his own hands, and he let one end hang down from the front to his chest and shortened the other end from the back by the measure of four fingers. Then he said: 'Turn your back,' and he turned his back, and then he said: 'Turn your face,' and he turned his face. Then he said: 'The crowns of the angels were like this!'

📚 Al-Kafi, vol. 1, p. 489

Yasir al-Khadim said: 'When the day of the Eid came, Ma'mun sent for Imam Reza (prayers of God be upon him) and requested him to ride and attend the Eid prayer and lead it,' until he said: 'The Imam wore a white turban made of cotton, and he let one end hang down on his chest and the other end between his two shoulder blades!'

✅ Based on the above narrations and others, the tradition of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) regarding wearing a turban is that it should be wrapped in such a way that a part of one end hangs over the chest or is passed under the chin, and from the back, it hangs down by the measure of four fingers or is dropped between the two shoulder blades.

According to the above narrations, a turban that does not have one end hanging down from the front or passed under the chin is the way of Satan's turban!

✅ Unfortunately, today, some who claim to be Shi'a are not only unwilling to follow this tradition themselves, but they also blame and criticize those who use a chin-strap for their turban!
