Imam Hasan Askari (peace be upon him) said in a hadith: Indeed, there is no one from the lovers of Ali (peace be upon him) who purifies his heart from the impurity of trickery, deceit, cunning, cheating, and fraud, and from the filth of sins, except that he is purer and more virtuous than the angels!
2 عَنِ الْحُسَیْنِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ عَلِیِّ بْنِ مُوسَی الرِّضَا عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ آبَائِهِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ مَنْ کَانَ مُسْلِماً فَلَا یَمْکُرُ وَ لَا یَخْدَعُ فَإِنِّی سَمِعْتُ جَبْرَئِیلَ یَقُولُ إِنَّ الْمَکْرَ وَ الْخَدِیعَةَ فِی النَّارِ

Imam Rida (peace be upon him) narrated from his father from his forefathers from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: Whoever is a Muslim should not deceive or be cunning, for I heard Gabriel (peace be upon him) saying: Indeed, deceit and cunning are in the fire!
3 عَنِ السَّکُونِیِّ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ آبَائِهِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ لَیْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ مَاکَرَ مُسْلِماً.

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) narrated from his forefathers that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: Whoever deceives a Muslim is not from us!
4 عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي الْمِقْدَامِ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ: قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فِي وَصِيَّتِهِ لِوَلَدِهِ الْحَسَنِ وَ لَا تَعْمَلْ بِالْخَدِيعَةِ فَإِنَّهَا خُلُقُ لَئِيمٍ

Imam Baqir (peace be upon him) said: The Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) said in his will to his son: Do not act with cunning, for it is a lowly character!
5 عَنِ السَّکُونِیِّ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّ أَمِیرَ الْمُؤْمِنِینَ أَلْقَی صِبْیَانُ الْکُتَّابِ أَلْوَاحَهُمْ بَیْنَ یَدَیْهِ لِیَخِیرَ بَیْنَهُمْ فَقَالَ أَمَا إِنَّهَا حُکُومَةٌ وَ الْجَوْرُ فِیهَا کَالْجَوْرِ فِی الْحُکْمِ

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: The elementary school children put their practice sheets in front of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) so that he could choose one of them (as the best)! The Imam said: Be aware that this is considered a judgment and a verdict, and acting unjustly in it is considered acting unjustly in judgment!
6 قال رسول الله.. یَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِینَ الَّذِینَ یَتَّقُونَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ مِنَ الشَّیْءِ الَّذِی لَا یُتَّقَی مِنْهُ خَوْفاً مِنَ الدُّخُولِ فِی الشُّبْهَةِ.

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said in his will to Abu Dharr: O Abu Dharr! Indeed, the pious are those who fear and avoid something that is not forbidden, for fear of falling into doubt!
7 قَالَ الرِّضَا علیه السلام : الصَّغَائِرُ مِنَ الذُّنُوبِ طُرُقٌ إِلَی الْکَبَائِرِ وَ مَنْ لَمْ یَخَفِ اللَّهَ فِی الْقَلِیلِ لَمْ یَخَفْهُ فِی الْکَثِیرِ

Imam Rida (peace be upon him) said: Minor sins are a path and a way to major sins, and whoever does not fear Allah in a small thing will not fear Him in a great thing!
✅ Cheating on exams is a form of fraud, deceit, and trickery, and although it cannot be definitively considered an instance of the condemned fraud and deceit, but in light of the strong recommendations of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) for caution and avoiding doubt and the repeated recommendations to avoid cunning and trickery, it is appropriate to refrain from cheating on exams. Even if this act is considered a minor sin, according to narration 7 and others, such an act paves the way for greater cheating and fraud and makes great and condemned deceit and trickery normal and easy for the person.
✅ In case the academic degree obtained based on this cheating becomes the basis for a job and a person is given salary and benefits based on it, the resulting income is subject to doubt unless it is clarified to the employer.
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
وَ عَجِّلْ لِوَلِیِّکَ الْفَرَجَ وَ الْعَافِیَةَ وَ النَّصْر
