1 عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْوَشَّاءِ قَالَ: كُنْتُ مَعَ أَبِي وَ أَنَا غُلَامٌ فَتَعَشَّيْنَا عِنْدَ الرِّضَا لَيْلَةَ خَمْسٍ وَ عِشْرِينَ مِنْ ذِي الْقَعْدَةِ فَقَالَ لَهُ لَيْلَةُ خَمْسٍ وَ عِشْرِينَ مِنْ ذِي الْقَعْدَةِ وُلِدَ فِيهَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَ وُلِدَ فِيهَا عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ وَ فِيهَا دُحِيَتِ الْأَرْضُ مِنْ تَحْتِ الْكَعْبَةِ فَمَنْ صَامَ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمَ كَانَ كَمَنْ صَامَ سِتِّينَ شَهْراً.

Washsha' said: I was a young boy with my father. We had dinner with Imam Reza, peace be upon him, on the night of the 25th of Dhul-Qi'dah. The Imam said to him: On the night of the 25th of Dhul-Qi'dah, Ibrahim, peace be upon him, was born, and Isa, peace be upon him, was born on it, and the earth was spread from beneath the Ka'bah on it. So, whoever fasts on that day is like one who has fasted for sixty months!

2 عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ الْأَوَّلِ فِي حَدِيثٍ قَالَ: وَ فِي خَمْسَةٍ وَ عِشْرِينَ مِنْ ذِي الْقَعْدَةِ وُضِعَ الْبَيْتُ وَ هُوَ أَوَّلُ رَحْمَةٍ وُضِعَتْ عَلَى وَجْهِ الْأَرْضِ فَجَعَلَهُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ مَثَابَةً لِلنَّاسِ وَ أَمْناً فَمَنْ صَامَ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمَ كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَهُ صِيَامَ سِتِّينَ شَهْراً الْحَدِيثَ.

Imam Kadhim, peace be upon him, said in a hadith: On the 25th of Dhul-Qi'dah, the House (of Allah) was laid, and it was the first mercy that was laid on the earth, and Allah, the Mighty and Exalted, made it a place of return (gathering) and a place of security for the people. So, whoever fasts on that day, Allah will write down for him the fast of 60 months!

3 عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الصَّيْقَلِ قَالَ: خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ يَعْنِي الرِّضَا فِي يَوْمِ خَمْسَةٍ وَ عِشْرِينَ مِنْ ذِي الْقَعْدَةِ فَقَالَ صُومُوا فَإِنِّي أَصْبَحْتُ صَائِماً قُلْنَا جُعِلْنَا فِدَاكَ أَيُّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ قَالَ يَوْمٌ نُشِرَتْ فِيهِ الرَّحْمَةُ وَ دُحِيَتْ فِيهِ الْأَرْضُ وَ نُصِبَتْ فِيهِ الْكَعْبَةُ وَ هَبَطَ فِيهِ آدَمُ

📚 Al-Kafi, Vol. 4, p. 149

Muhammad ibn Abdillah said: Abu al-Hasan, meaning Imam Reza, peace be upon him, came out to us on the 25th of Dhul-Qi'dah and said: Fast, for I have woken up fasting!

We said: May Allah make us your ransom! Which day is this? He said: A day in which mercy was spread, and the earth was spread, and the Ka'bah was installed, and Adam, peace be upon him, descended on it!

4 عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيِّ عَنْ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ قَالَ: أَوَّلُ رَحْمَةٍ نَزَلَتْ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ فِي خَمْسَةٍ وَ عِشْرِينَ مِنْ ذِي الْقَعْدَةِ فَمَنْ صَامَ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمَ وَ قَامَ تِلْكَ اللَّيْلَةَ فَلَهُ عِبَادَةُ مِائَةِ سَنَةٍ صَامَ نَهَارَهَا وَ قَامَ لَيْلَهَا الْحَدِيثَ.

Amir al-Mu'minin, peace be upon him, said: The first mercy that descended from the sky to the earth was on the 25th of Dhul-Qi'dah. So, whoever fasts on that day and stands up (in prayer) during that night, he will have the worship of a hundred years, the nights of which he stood in prayer and the days of which he fasted!
