Answer
✅ Answer: Pay attention to the following narrations:
📚 Al-Kafi, Vol. 3, p. 33
Imam Baqir, peace be upon him, said: If you are still in the process of your wudu and do not know whether you have washed your hands or not, then you should repeat the washing of them and all those that Allah (in the verse of wudu) has named and you doubt that you have not washed or wiped them, as long as you are in the state of your wudu. But if you have finished the wudu and have entered into another state, such as prayer or other than it, and you doubt one of what Allah has named (in the verse of wudu), of what Allah has made obligatory for you to do for your wudu, there is nothing upon you regarding that.
And if (after wudu) you doubt the wiping of your head and you find moisture in your beard, wipe your head and two feet with that. And if you do not find any moisture, do not invalidate your wudu with doubt and continue your prayer. And if you are certain that you have not completed your wudu, repeat what you are certain you have left out until you reach the end of your wudu.
📚 Al-Tahdhib, Vol. 1, p. 101
Muhammad ibn Muslim said: I said to Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him: A person doubts his wudu after he has finished the prayer! He said: He should continue his prayer and not repeat it!
📚 Al-Tahdhib, Vol. 1, p. 364
Muhammad ibn Muslim said: I heard Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, say: All that has passed from your prayer and your ritual purity (i.e., your wudu or ghusl or tayammum) and you remember something of it (i.e., you doubt something of it), then pass over it, and there is no repetition upon you in it!
📚 Al-Tahdhib, Vol. 1, p. 101
Bukayr said: I said to the Imam (Sadiq), peace be upon him: A person doubts after he has performed wudu! The Imam said: He remembers better when he is in the process of performing wudu than when he doubts it!
📚 Al-Tahdhib, Vol. 1, p. 101
Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, said: If you doubt something from wudu and have entered into something other than wudu, your doubt is nothing. Indeed, doubt is only when you are in something that you have not passed from!
✅ Based on the above narrations and others, if a person is in the middle of performing wudu and is still in the state of wudu, and he doubts one of the obligatory parts of wudu, he should repeat it until the end of the wudu. But when he has finished the wudu and has moved on to another state, such as prayer or other than it, if he doubts one of the obligatory parts of wudu, he should not pay attention and should move on, and there is no need to repeat it.
Of course, if he doubts the wiping of the head and there is still moisture left in his beard, he should take from that moisture and wipe his head and two feet. If no moisture remains, he should not pay attention and should move on and not invalidate his wudu with doubt.
However, if he is certain that he has left out an obligatory part of wudu, he is obligated to repeat his wudu.
