📚 Al-Faqih, Vol. 1, p. 418
Imran al-Halabi said: Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, was asked about a person who performs the Friday (noon) prayer in four rak'ahs, should he recite loudly? He said: Yes, and the qunut is in the second rak'ah!
📚 Al-Faqih, Vol. 1, p. 411
Imam Baqir, peace be upon him, said in a hadith: There are two qunuts for the Imam of Friday in the Friday prayer: one qunut in the first rak'ah before the bowing and in the second rak'ah after the bowing, and for a person who prays individually, there is one qunut in the second rak'ah before the bowing!
📚 Al-Tahdhib, Vol. 2, p. 90
Abu Basir said: I was with Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, when one of the companions asked the Imam about the qunut in the Friday prayer; the Imam said: It is in the second rak'ah! The person said to him that one of the companions narrated to me that you told him that it is in the first rak'ah! The Imam, peace be upon him, who had many people with him, said: It is in the second rak'ah, and when he saw that the people were not paying attention, he said: O Abu Muhammad! It is in both the first and the second rak'ah!
After that, Abu Basir said to the Imam: Is it before the bowing or after the bowing? Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, said to him: Every qunut is before the bowing except in the Friday prayer, in which its qunut is before the bowing in the first rak'ah and after the bowing in the second rak'ah!
📚 Al-Tahdhib, Vol. 3, p. 245
Sama'a said: I asked (Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him) about the qunut in the Friday prayer; the Imam said: As for the Imam (of Friday), it is his duty to perform qunut in the first rak'ah after finishing the recitation and before the bowing, and in the second rak'ah after raising his head from the bowing, before prostration...
✅ Based on the above narrations and others, if the Friday noon prayer is performed with a sermon as a Friday prayer and in two rak'ahs, it has two qunuts, one of which is performed in the first rak'ah after the recitation and before the bowing, and in the second rak'ah, the qunut is performed after the bowing and before going into prostration.
But if a person prays individually or the noon prayer is performed in congregation without a sermon in four rak'ahs, its qunut is like other prayers, only in the second rak'ah after the recitation and before the bowing.
