Answer
✅ Answer: 'Reincarnation' (tanasukh), both linguistically and technically, refers to the transference of a human soul from one body to another after death, within this same world.
The followers of this belief are called 'al-tanasukhiyyah', and this false belief is accompanied by the denial of the Day of Judgment, Paradise, and Hell.
The details of the beliefs of these deviated and unbelieving people become clear from the following narrations:
Hisham said: The Zindiq (heretic) asked Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, and said: Tell me about those who believe in the reincarnation of souls. From what did they derive this and on what basis do they hold to their doctrines?
The Imam said: Indeed, the people of reincarnation have cast aside the path of religion and have adorned misguidance for themselves and have given themselves over to lusts. They imagine that the heavens are empty and that nothing of what is described is in them, and that the Sustainer of this world is in the form of the creatures, based on the argument of the one who narrated that Allah, the Exalted, created Adam in His image, and that there is no Paradise and no Hell and no resurrection!
And in their view, the Day of Judgment is the soul leaving its first body and entering another. If a person was righteous in his first body, he returns in a better body in the highest degree of this world, and if he was wicked and did not have gnosis, he enters one of the suffering animals of this world or ugly-created beasts of prey, and (they believe) that neither fasting nor prayer nor any of the acts of worship are obligatory upon them more than the gnosis and knowledge of the one whose gnosis is obligatory upon them, and all the lusts of this world, from women's private parts and other things like marrying sisters, daughters, maternal aunts, and married women, as well as carrion, wine, and blood are permissible for them!
So all the sects considered their words vile and ugly, and all nations cursed them!
When they are asked for proof and evidence, they deviate from the truth and the right path and resort to crookedness!
✅ Continuation of the translation of the hadith from the previous post regarding the beliefs and characteristics of the people of reincarnation:
So the Torah has falsified their claim, and the Criterion (Quran) has cursed them. And despite this, they imagine that their god is transferred from one form to another and that the eternal souls are the same as the one that was in Adam, then it was transferred in this way from one to another until it reached our time. So with this assumption that the Creator is in the form of the created, how can the Creatorhood of one of them be proven?!
And they said that the angels are from the children of Adam,
and whoever reaches the highest degree of their religion leaves the place of trial and purification and becomes an angel!
Sometimes in some matters, you would think of them as Christians, and sometimes as materialists. They say that things are not as they appear in reality, and it is certainly obligatory upon them not to eat any meat because the living beings in their view are from the children of Adam who have been transformed into their forms, and eating the flesh of relatives is not permissible!
Hasan ibn Jahm said: Ma'mun, may he be cursed, said to Imam Reza, peace be upon him: O Abul Hasan! What do you say about those who believe in reincarnation? The Imam said: Whoever believes in reincarnation is an infidel to the great Allah and denies Paradise and Hell!
📚 Uyun Akhbar al-Reza
Imam Abul Hasan, peace be upon him, said: Whoever believes in and says that there is reincarnation is an infidel!
Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, was asked about reincarnation; he said: (If there is reincarnation) then who reincarnated the first one?!
(i.e., from what body and frame was the first soul transferred from)?!
✅ In the above narrations, the beliefs and thoughts of the people of reincarnation and the disbelief of this belief have been explained, and all the verses and narrations related to the intermediate world (alam al-barzakh), which indicate the soul's entry into the intermediate world after death, also prove the invalidity of the belief in reincarnation, because these deviated people believe in the transference of the soul to the body of another human or animal in this very world. What is worthy of attention is that in addition to the false religions that hold this belief in different forms and with different details, some of the false sects of the extremist Shiites also believe in some types of reincarnation, and entering into the deviation of extremism opens the way for being tainted with the false belief of reincarnation, from all of which we seek refuge in Allah, the Exalted.
