✅Answer:
📚 Al-Tahdhib, vol. 1, p. 346
Sa'id al-A'raj said: I said to Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him): 'I cut my nails and my mustache and I shave my head, should I perform ghusl (ritual bath)?'
He said: 'No! Ghusl is not obligatory for you!'
I said: 'Should I perform wudu (ablution)?'
He said: 'No! Wudu is not obligatory for you!'
I said: 'Should I wipe water on my nails?'
He said: 'No! They are clean, and wiping is not obligatory for you!'

Zurarah said: I said to Imam al-Baqir (peace be upon him): 'A person cuts his nails and his mustache and cuts his hair and beard, does his wudu break?'
The Imam said: 'O Zurarah! All of these are sunnah (recommended acts) and wudu is an obligation, and a sunnah does not nullify an obligation. Indeed, this act only adds to his purity!'

Isma'il ibn Jabir asked Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) about a person who cuts his nails and mustache, should he wipe them with water? He said: 'No! They are clean!'
📚 Al-Ja'fariyat, p. 19
Ali (peace be upon him) was asked about a person who, after wudu, cuts his nail, trims his mustache, and shaves his head. He said: 'There is no problem, this act only adds to his purity, and this is not like a ritual impurity for which wudu is performed!'
📚 Kitab Durust ibn Abi Mansur, p. 166
Hisham ibn Salim said: I asked Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) about cutting hair and trimming nails. The Imam said: 'This act only adds to his purity and cleanliness!'

Halabi said: I asked Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) about a person who is in a state of purity (wudu) and then cuts his nail or hair, should he repeat his wudu? He said: 'No, but he should wipe his head and his nails with water!'
I said: 'Indeed, they (meaning the Sunnis) believe that it requires wudu!'
The Imam said: 'If they dispute with you, you should not dispute with them and say the tradition is like this!'
✅ Some of the general public (Sunnis) believed that cutting nails and hair and shaving the head would invalidate wudu!
The Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) have emphasized in the above narrations and others that these actions do not invalidate wudu, but rather add to a person's purity and cleanliness. According to narrations 1 and 3 and others, there is no need to wipe the hair and nails with water, and these narrations indicate that after cutting hair and nails, which was usually done with iron, there is no need to wipe them with water. Therefore, what is mentioned in hadith 6 from the command to wipe them with water, if it is not considered to contradict the above narrations and thus be set aside, it is at most an act of preference and virtue or a recommended act, and a person can either act upon it or upon the many concessions of not wiping.
✅ What is mentioned in the hadith of Ammar al-Sabati in 📚 Al-Istibsar, vol. 1, p. 96, regarding the necessity of repeating the prayer for someone who has cut his nails and hair and prayed without wiping them with water, is an anomalous hadith that contradicts other narrations, the knowledge of which is referred back to the Imam and is not to be acted upon.
