Question 707: If we doubt the number of glorifications in the Ja'far prayer, do we have to repeat the prayer?

Answer
✅Answer:
A specific narration for this issue has not been reported, but we can use the following general principles in different situations:
✅ First situation: Doubting the number of glorifications while still in the place of them and not having moved on:
📚 Al-Faqih, vol. 1, p. 351
Ishaq ibn 'Ammar said: Imam Kadhim (peace be upon him) said to me: 'If you doubt, base your action on certainty!'
I said: 'Is this a principle?' He said: 'Yes!'
✅Using the above principle, if, for example, we are in the bowing of the Ja'far prayer and we doubt whether we said 9 glorifications or 10, we should base it on certainty, which is 9 glorifications, and say one more glorification to complete the 10 glorifications of the bowing.
✅ Second situation: Doubting the glorification in cases where its place has passed and we have moved on to the next parts:
📚 Tahdhib, vol. 2, p. 344
Imam Baqir (peace be upon him) said: 'Whatever you doubt from the things that have passed (their place), pass by it as it is (and do not pay attention)!'
✅ According to the above principle, if, for example, during the second prostration of the Ja'far prayer, we doubt whether we said the 10 glorifications between the two prostrations or not, or whether we said them in full or not, we should not pay attention and move on.
✅ Third situation: If we make a mistake in one of the states of the Ja'far prayer and mistakenly omit the glorifications or make them incomplete and we remember it in another state, we should act according to the following narration:
📚 Al-Ihtijaj, p. 482
Himyar wrote to Imam Mahdi (peace be upon him) asking about the Ja'far prayer, that if a person makes a mistake in the glorifications of the Ja'far prayer, whether in the standing, sitting, bowing, or prostration, and he remembers it in another state of the prayer, should he make up what he missed from the glorifications in the state where he remembered it, or should he move on with his prayer?
The 'tawqee' (reply) issued in response was:
If he makes a mistake in one state and remembers it in another state of the prayer, he should make it up in the state where he remembers it!
✅According to the above narration, if a person in the Ja'far prayer, for example, forgets to say the glorifications of the bowing and remembers it in the prostration or in another state, he should make up the glorifications of the bowing in the same state of prostration or other state where he remembers it.
✅Note: Although hadith 1 is a general principle, some exceptions should also be considered. For example:
📚 Al-Kafi, vol. 3, p. 342
Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: 'If you doubt the glorifications of Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her), then repeat them!'
✅Miscellaneous Note:
📚 Sifat al-Shi'a, p. 36, hadith 29
Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: 'Your (Shi'a's) concern and sorrow is the signs and rulings of your religion, and the concern and sorrow of your enemies are for you!'
✅ Now that the Shi'a are concerned and sorrowful about the rulings of their religion, we remind them that:
📚 Al-Khisal, p. 393, hadith 96
Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: 'Shame on a Muslim man who, during the week, on his Friday, does not make himself available for the affairs of his religion to ask about the (rulings of) his religion!'
