📚Kamil al-Ziyarat p. 305
Muhammad ibn Sulayman said: I asked Abu Ja'far Imam al-Jawad, peace be upon him: A man has performed his Hajj al-Islam, meaning his obligatory Hajj, in a way that he entered for Hajj al-Tamattu', and God helped him in performing Hajj and Umrah. Then he goes to Medina and greets the Prophet of God (peace be upon him and his family), and then he comes to you, knowing your right and knowing that you are the divine proof over creation and the door of God through which one comes to Him, and he greets you. Then he comes to Abu Abdillah al-Husayn, peace be upon him, and greets him. Then he goes to Baghdad and greets al-Hasan Musa ibn Ja'far, and then he returns to his land and city.
Then, when the time for Hajj comes, God provides him with wealth with which he can perform Hajj.
Now for this person who has performed his obligatory Hajj, which is better: Should he return and perform Hajj again, or should he travel to your father Ali ibn Musa al-Reza in Khurasan and greet him?
The Imam said: Rather, he should come to Khurasan and greet Abu al-Hasan al-Reza, peace be upon him, for this is better and more virtuous, and this act (i.e., going for the pilgrimage to Imam Reza, peace be upon him) should be in the month of Rajab!
✅In the noble narration above, the month of Rajab is specified as a special time for the pilgrimage to Imam Reza, peace be upon him!
✅Also, pay attention to the following narration regarding the great reward of the pilgrimage to Imam Reza, peace be upon him:
📚Al-Faqih vol. 2, p. 582
Bazanti said: I read in a letter from Imam Reza, peace be upon him:
Convey to my Shi'ites that my pilgrimage is equal to a thousand Hajj in the sight of God!
Bazanti said: I said to Imam al-Jawad, peace be upon him: A thousand Hajj?!
He said: Yes, by God,
rather a thousand thousand Hajj for someone who performs his pilgrimage to him while knowing his right!
The virtue of the pilgrimage to Imam Reza, peace be upon him
