عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ عَلِیِّ بْنِ رِئَابٍ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ فِی حَدِیثٍ قَالَ وَ لَا یَرْجِعُ الرَّجُلُ فِیمَا یَهَبُ لِامْرَأَتِهِ وَ لَا الْمَرْأَةُ فِیمَا تَهَبُ لِزَوْجِهَا حِیزَ أَوْ لَمْ یُحَزْ ألیس الله تبارک و تَعَالَی یَقُولُ وَ لا یَحِلُّ لَکُمْ أَنْ تَأْخُذُوا مِمَّا آتَیْتُمُوهُنَّ شَیْئاً وَ قَالَ فَإِنْ طِبْنَ لَکُمْ عَنْ شَیْ ءٍ مِنْهُ نَفْساً فَکُلُوهُ هَنِیئاً مَرِیئاً وَ هَذَا یَدْخُلُ فِی الصَّدَاقِ وَ الْهِبَةِ

📚Kafi, Vol. 7, p. 30

Imam Sadiq (AS) said in a narration: A man does not revoke what he has gifted to his wife, and likewise, a woman does not revoke what she has gifted or waived to her husband (she should not revoke it), whether it is in her possession or not, unless Allah (SWT) has said: (Quran 2:299) "It is not lawful for you to take back anything from what you have given to your wives."

And Allah (SWT) also said: (Quran 4:4) "So if your wives willingly and happily give you something from their dowry, accept it and enjoy it." This principle applies to dowries, gifts, and waivers.

✅According to the above narration, neither the wife nor the husband should revoke or take back anything they have gifted to each other.
