1 عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ فِي قُرْبِ الْإِسْنَادِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ أَخِيهِ مُوسَى بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ ظَبْيٍ أَوْ حِمَارِ وَحْشٍ أَوْ طَيْرٍ صَرَعَهُ رَجُلٌ ثُمَّ رَمَاهُ غَيْرُهُ بَعْدَ مَا صَرَعَهُ فَقَالَ كُلْ مَا لَمْ يَتَغَيَّبْ إِذَا سَمَّى وَ رَمَاهُ.

Ali ibn Ja'far said: I asked my brother Musa ibn Ja'far (peace be upon him) about a deer or a wild donkey (zebra) or a bird that a man throws to the ground and another man hits it with an arrow after he throws it to the ground; the Imam said: 'As long as it has not become hidden (from his sight), if he has mentioned the name of Allah and shot the arrow, he may eat it.'
2 عَنْ عِدَّةٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ سَمَاعَةَ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ رَجُلٍ رَمَى حِمَارَ وَحْشٍ أَوْ ظَبْياً فَأَصَابَهُ ثُمَّ كَانَ فِي طَلَبِهِ فَوَجَدَهُ مِنَ الْغَدِ وَ سَهْمُهُ فِيهِ فَقَالَ إِنْ عَلِمَ أَنَّهُ أَصَابَهُ وَ أَنَّ سَهْمَهُ هُوَ الَّذِي قَتَلَهُ فَلْيَأْكُلْ مِنْهُ وَ إِلَّا فَلَا يَأْكُلْ مِنْهُ.

Sam'ah said: I asked the Imam (peace be upon him) about a man who shoots an arrow at a wild donkey or a deer and it hits it, and this person is in pursuit of it until he finds it the next day with the arrow in its body; the Imam said: 'If he knows that his arrow hit it and that it was his arrow that killed it, he may eat from it, and otherwise, he should not eat from it.'
3 أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَرْقِيُّ فِي الْمَحَاسِنِ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا عَنِ الآمِصِ فَقَالَ وَ مَا هُوَ فَذَهَبْتُ أَصِفُهُ لَهُ فَقَالَ أَ لَيْسَ الْيَحَامِيرَ قُلْتُ بَلَى قَالَ أَ لَيْسَ يَأْكُلُونَهُ بِالْخَلِّ وَ الْخَرْدَلِ وَ الْأَبْزَارِ قُلْتُ بَلَى قَالَ لَا بَأْسَ بِهِ.

Sa'd ibn Sa'd al-Ash'ari said: I asked Imam Rida (peace be upon him) about 'al-amass'; the Imam said: 'What is 'al-amass'?' So I came to describe it when the Imam said: 'Is it not the wild donkey (zebra)?' I said: 'Yes,' he said: 'Is it not eaten with vinegar and mustard and fragrant and flavorful spices?' I said: 'Yes,' he said: 'There is no problem.'
