1 Fasting

1 عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَرْحُومٍ الْأَزْدِيِّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّه يَقُولُ مَنْ صَامَ أَوَّلَ يَوْمٍ مِنْ شَعْبَانَ وَجَبَتْ لَهُ الْجَنَّةُ الْبَتَّةَ وَ مَنْ صَامَ يَوْمَيْنِ نَظَرَ اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِ فِي كُلِّ يَوْمٍ وَ لَيْلَةٍ فِي دَارِ الدُّنْيَا وَ دَامَ نَظَرُهُ إِلَيْهِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ- وَ مَنْ صَامَ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ زَارَ اللَّهَ فِي عَرْشِهِ مِنْ جَنَّتِهِ فِي كُلِّ يَوْمٍ

Abdullah said: I heard Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, say: Whoever fasts the first day of the month of Sha'ban, Paradise becomes obligatory for him, and whoever fasts two days of it, Allah looks at him in the worldly abode every day and night, and this look of His continues in Paradise, and whoever fasts three days of it, he will visit God in His Throne every day from his own Paradise.

2 عَنِ الرِّضَا قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّه يُكْثِرُ الصِّيَامَ فِي شَعْبَانَ- إِلَى أَنْ قَالَ وَ كَانَ يَقُولُ شَعْبَانُ شَهْرِي وَ هُوَ أَفْضَلُ الشُّهُورِ بَعْدَ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ- فَمَنْ صَامَ فِيهِ يَوْماً كُنْتُ شَفِيعَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَة

Imam Reza, peace be upon him, said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, used to fast a lot in the month of Sha'ban, to the extent that he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, used to say: The month of Sha'ban is my month, and it is the best of months after the month of Ramadan, so whoever fasts one day in the month of Sha'ban, I will be his intercessor on the Day of Judgment.

3 عَنْ ابي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ: مَنْ صَامَ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ شَعْبَانَ وَجَبَتْ لَهُ الْجَنَّةُ وَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ شَفِيعَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ.

Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, said: Whoever fasts three days of the month of Sha'ban, Paradise becomes obligatory for him, and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, will be his intercessor on the Day of Judgment.

4 عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّه عَنْ آبَائِهِ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ فِي حَدِيثٍ قَالَ: مَنْ صَامَ شَعْبَانَ مَحَبَّةً لِنَبِيِّ اللَّهِ وَ تَقَرُّباً إِلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ أَحَبَّهُ اللَّهُ وَ قَرَّبَهُ مِنْ كَرَامَتِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَ أَوْجَبَ لَهُ الْجَنَّةَ.

Imam Ali, peace be upon him, said: Whoever fasts the month of Sha'ban out of love for the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, and to draw closer to Allah, Allah will love him and bring him close to His honor on the Day of Judgment and make Paradise obligatory for him.

5 عن الصَّادِقِ عَنْ آبَائِه عَنِ النَّبِيِّ قَالَ: شَعْبَانُ شَهْرِي وَ شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ شَهْرُ الله فَمَنْ صَامَ يَوْماً مِنْ شَهْرِي كُنْتُ شَفِيعَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ- وَ مَنْ صَامَ يَوْمَيْنِ مِنْ شَهْرِي غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ وَ مَنْ صَامَ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ شَهْرِي قِيلَ لَهُ اسْتَأْنِفِ الْعَمَلَ.

Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, from his ancestors, from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, who said: Sha'ban is my month, and the month of Ramadan is the month of Allah, so whoever fasts one day of my month, I will be his intercessor on the Day of Judgment, and whoever fasts two days of my month, Allah will forgive his previous sins, and whoever fasts three days of my month, it will be said to him: Start your deeds anew.

✅ Imam Sajjad, peace be upon him, in a part of the 48th supplication of Sahifa Sajjadiya, which is read on Friday and Eid al-Adha, supplicates for the hastening of the relief in this way:

.... أللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ، وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ إنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيْدٌ كَصَلَوَاتِكَ وَبَرَكَاتِك وَ تَحِيَّاتِكَ عَلَى أَصْفِيآئِكَ إبْراهِيمَ وَآلِ إبْرَاهِيمَ، وَعَجِّلِ الْفَرَجَ وَالرَّوْحَ وَالنُّصْرَةَ وَالتَّمْكِينَ وَالتَّأْيِيدَ لَهُمْ.....
