Question 401: What actions are prohibited during the Moon in Scorpio (Qamar in Aqrab)?

Answer
✅Answer: Pay attention to the following narrations:
📚 Al-Faqih, Vol.2, p.267
📚 Al-Kafi, Vol.8, p.275
Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: Whoever travels or marries while the Moon is in Scorpio will not see goodness or prosperity.
📚 Al-Tahdhib, Vol.7, p.461
Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: Whoever marries a woman while the Moon is in Scorpio will not see goodness or prosperity.
📚 Uyoon Akhbar al-Ridha, Vol.1, p.288
Imam Ali al-Naqi (peace be upon him) narrated from his ancestors that whoever marries while the Moon is in Scorpio will not see goodness, and anyone who marries during the lunar dark phase (Mahaq) must submit to the possibility of miscarriage.
✅Unfortunately, the method of calculating the Moon in Scorpio according to the narrations of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) has not reached us. There are two views among linguists and experts regarding its determination:
1 The entry of the Moon into the Scorpio zodiac sign
2 The Moon being opposite the Scorpio constellation
These two timings follow one another; although the second is more authentic and widely accepted, some exercise caution.
✅The Moon completes one orbit around the Earth each lunar month. This full orbit is divided into twelve equal parts (12 to 30 degrees), and each part is assigned to a zodiac sign: Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn. Each of these twelve names corresponds to distant star constellations the Moon is opposite to.
The Moon stays in each of these twelve constellations for one-twelfth of the lunar month (about 2 days, 10 hours, and 48 minutes). For example, in each lunar month, the Moon remains in the sign and constellation of Scorpio for about two and a half days. When the Moon is opposite the Scorpio constellation, it is called 'Qamar in Scorpio.'
✅The lunar dark phase (Muhaq) refers to the last two or three nights of the lunar month (28th and 29th, or 28th, 29th, and 30th night depending on a 29 or 30-day month), during which the Moon is neither visible at night nor day because it rises with the Sun and cannot be seen.
✅Al-Muhaq in language refers to the last three nights during which the Moon is barely visible.

✅If travel is necessary during prohibited days such as the Moon in Scorpio, follow this narration:
📚 Al-Faqih, Vol.2, p.269
Hammad said: I asked Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him): Is traveling on disliked days such as Wednesday prohibited? He said: Begin your journey with charity, depart when you have the opportunity, recite Ayat al-Kursi, and whenever possible, perform cupping (Hijama).
📚 Al-Mahasin, p.348
Abdullah ibn Sulayman narrated from one of the two Imams, Baqir or Sadiq (peace be upon them): When my father traveled on the last Wednesday of the month, on days people considered travel undesirable due to Muhaq or other reasons, he first gave charity and then departed.

✅Given the increasing afflictions and difficulties for the believers and the ambiguity surrounding many questions, including the exact time of Qamar in Scorpio, it is strongly advised:
Question 402: What sins cause afflictions to descend?
✅Answer: Numerous narrations exist on this topic. Consider the following examples:
📚 Bihar al-Anwar, Vol.73, p.375
Abu Khalid said: I heard Ali ibn Husayn (peace be upon them) say: ...
The sins that bring affliction are: neglecting to assist the oppressed and distressed, failing to help the wronged, neglecting enjoining good and forbidding evil.
📚 Bihar al-Anwar, Vol.1, p.178
Jabir ibn Abdullah Ansari visited Imam Ali (peace be upon him). He said: O Jabir, the stability of this world depends on four things: a scholar who applies his knowledge, a naive person who does not refuse to learn, a wealthy person who is generous, and a poor person who does not sell his Hereafter for worldly gain.
Then Imam Ali (peace be upon him) said:
When the scholar hides his knowledge, the naive refuses to learn, the rich is stingy, and the poor trades his religion for worldly gain, affliction will descend upon them and severe punishment will follow!
✅By avoiding the above sins, we can prevent the descent of affliction, God willing.

Muhammad ibn Hanfiya narrated from his father Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him) that he said:
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
When my nation commits fifteen specific traits, affliction will descend upon them.
It was asked: O Messenger of Allah, what are they?
He said: When spoils are exchanged and considered loot, trusts are betrayed, Zakat is considered a loss, a man obeys his wife and harms his mother, a friend is wronged, the lowest person in authority is appointed, voices are raised in mosques, luxurious clothing is worn, women sing and play instruments, and the people curse their ancestors, then they must be cautious and expect three things:
Red wind, earth sinking, or transformation.
📚 Sahifa al-Ridha (peace be upon him), p.4
Imam Ridha (peace be upon him) narrated from his ancestors from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) that he said:
My nation will remain in goodness as long as they love one another, fulfill trusts, avoid forbidden things, honor guests, establish prayers, and pay Zakat; when they fail to do so, they will face famine and drought!
✅To avert expanding afflictions, it is necessary to abandon sins and repent. We should repent ourselves and call others to repentance to receive mercy, God willing.
✅Our master Imam al-Zaman (peace be upon him) in one of his last statements requested:
