1 عَنْ مَسْعَدَةَ بْنِ صَدَقَةَ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ آبَائِهِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ قَالَ: إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ أَوْجَبَ الْجَنَّةَ لِشَابٍّ كَانَ يُكْثِرُ النَّظَرَ فِي الْمِرْآةِ فَيُكْثِرُ حَمْدَ اللَّهِ عَلَى ذَلِكَ.

📚 Thawab al-A'mal, p. 44

Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) narrated from his forefathers that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family) said: 'Indeed, Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, made Paradise obligatory for a youth who looked frequently into the mirror and praised and extolled Allah immensely for it!'

2 عَنِ النَّبِيِّ : أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَنْظُرُ فِي الْمِرْآةِ وَ يُرَجِّلُ جُمَّتَهُ وَ يَمْتَشِطُ وَ رُبَّمَا نَظَرَ فِي الْمَاءِ وَ سَوَّى جُمَّتَهُ فِيهِ وَ لَقَدْ كَانَ يَتَجَمَّلُ لِأَصْحَابِهِ فَضْلًا عَلَى تَجَمُّلِهِ لِأَهْلِهِ وَ قَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ مِنْ عَبْدِهِ إِذَا خَرَجَ إِلَى إِخْوَانِهِ أَنْ يَتَهَيَّأَ لَهُمْ وَ يَتَجَمَّلَ.

📚 Makarim al-Akhlaq, p. 34

In the book Makarim al-Akhlaq, it is narrated regarding the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family): 'He used to look into the mirror, arrange his hair, and comb it; and he would often look into water to straighten his hair in it. Indeed, he would adorn himself for his companions, just as he would adorn himself for his family, and he would say: "Allah loves for His servant, whenever he goes out to his brothers, to prepare and adorn himself for them!"'

3 وَصِیَّتُهُ صلی اللّٰه علیه و آله لِأَمِیرِ الْمُؤْمِنِینَ علیه السلام.....

یَا عَلِیُّ إِذَا نَظَرْتَ فِی مِرْآةٍ فَكَبِّرْ ثَلَاثاً وَ قُلِ اللَّهُمَّ كَمَا حَسَّنْتَ خَلْقِی فَحَسِّنْ خُلُقِی.

📚 Bihar al-Anwar, Vol. 77, p. 65

The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family) said in his testament to the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him): "... O Ali! When you look into the mirror, say 'Allahu Akbar' (God is the Greatest) three times, and say:

اللَّهُمَّ كَمَا حَسَّنْتَ خَلْقِی فَحَسِّنْ خُلُقِی

Translation: O Allah! Just as You have made my creation beautiful, make my character beautiful as well!"

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ عَجِّلْ لِوَلِیِّکَ الْفَرَجَ وَ الْعَافِیَةَ وَ النَّصْر
