Answer

✅ Answer: Please pay attention to the following hadiths:

📚 Al-Kafi, Vol. 5, p. 329

Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his progeny) said: 'The lowest of your dead are the celibate (unmarried)!'

📚 Al-Faqih, Vol. 3, p. 382

Imam al-Baqir (peace be upon him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his progeny) said: 'What prevents a believer from taking a spouse, in hopes that Allah will grant him a child who will make the earth heavy with the mention of "There is no god but Allah" (La ilaha illa Allah)?!'

📚 Al-Faqih, Vol. 3, p. 383

Imam al-Baqir (peace be upon him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his progeny) said: 'No structure has been established in Islam more beloved to Allah Almighty than marriage!'

📚 Al-Kafi, Vol. 5, p. 328

Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his progeny) said: 'Whoever marries has secured half of his religion!'

📚 Al-Kafi, Vol. 5, p. 329

Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: The Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) said: 'Get married! For the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his progeny) said: Whoever loves to follow my Sunnah, then marriage is among my Sunnahs!'

✅ In numerous hadiths, of which a few examples were mentioned, marriage is strongly recommended for all times, and it is considered among the traditions (Sunnahs) of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his progeny).

✅ However, in some Sunni (Ammi) sources, a general hadith indicating the permissibility and virtue of being celibate in the end of times has been narrated from Abdullah ibn Mas'ud. This was later included in the 9th century by Ibn Fahd al-Hilli in his book "Al-Tahsin," and others like Allameh Nuri cited it in "Mustadrak al-Wasa'il" from "Al-Tahsin." It was then embellished by some preachers and speakers and gained attention among certain individuals.

Whereas, firstly: Sunni (Ammi) hadiths are generally not citable or actionable for Shias. Secondly: this hadith has no corroboration in authentic Shia narrations, and there are hadiths to the contrary. Thirdly: some of the prominent Sunni scholars themselves have severely weakened this hadith, and even the Sunnis themselves have in no way acted upon it; some of them have taken two or several wives instead of one!

But unfortunately, some Shias have relied on this Sunni hadith and use it to justify avoiding or delaying marriage.

✅ Believers should take note that this hadith is not actionable or citable; therefore, they should seriously pursue marriage with worthy women. God willing.
