2 عَنِ الصَّادِقِ علیه السلام قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلی اللّٰه علیه و آله: شَرُّ الرِّوَایَةِ رِوَایَةُ الْكَذِبِ

📚 Tafsir Al-Ayyashi Vol. 1, p. 362
Imam Baqir, peace be upon him, regarding the divine words (in Surah Al-An'am, verse 68) which say: 'And when you see those who plunge into Our verses, then turn away from them until they plunge into another discourse,' said: 'The intention is false speech about Allah, the Exalted, and arguing about the Quran. So turn away from them until they plunge into another discourse.'
He said: 'And among these people are storytellers and tale-spinners!'
4 سُئِلَ الصَّادِقُ عَنْ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ و الشُّعَراءُ یَتَّبِعُهُمُ الْغاوُونَ فَقَالَ هُمُ الْقُصَّاصُ.

He said: 'Is there a house for action there (in the hereafter)?' He said: 'No!' He said: 'Is there a refuge on earth other than this house?' He said: 'No!' So the Imam said: 'Then why do you occupy people from the circumambulation?' And he left!
Hasan al-Basri said: 'Words like these have never entered my ear before! Who is this person?!' So they said: 'This is Zayn al-Abidin!' So he said: 'These are a progeny, some of whom are from others!'

✅ In light of the above and other narrations, the production, watching, and dissemination of films based on false and fictional tales and stories, as well as the writing and narration of false and legendary novels and stories, and listening to them, are strongly condemned and prohibited in the hadiths. The general hadiths about the prohibition and condemnation of lying also cover these instances.
All false and fictional and legendary stories are examples of falsehood, tale-telling, and futility, even if the intention is to preserve the Persian language, for admonition and advice, etc.
✅ Unfortunately, thousands of books, films, plays, and false and legendary stories for different age groups are widely disseminated among the Shi'a and lovers of the Ahl al-Bayt, peace be upon them all, and are usually not prohibited and are even considered a source of pride and art!
But the true students of the Infallibles, peace be upon them, instead of Ferdowsi's Shahnameh, Victor Hugo's novel Les Misérables, the false poems of poets, and all false films, poems, and stories, are busy learning the verses of the Quran and the hadiths of the Ahl al-Bayt, peace be upon them, and authentic and useful Islamic histories.
