1 عن یُونُسَ بْنِ یَعْقُوبَ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ أَبَاعَبْداللَّهِ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ یَشْرَبُ الدَّوَاءَ وَ رُبَّمَا قَتَلَهُ وَ رُبَّمَا یسَلِمَ مِنْهُ وَ مَا یَسْلَمُ أَکْثَرُ قَالَ فَقَالَ أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ الدَّاء وَ أَنْزَلَ الشِّفَاءَ وَ مَا خَلَقَ اللَّهُ دَاءً إِلَّا وَ جَعَلَ لَهُ دَوَاءً فَاشْرَبْ وَ سَمِّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَی.
📚 Tibb al-A'imma (Medicine of the Imams) 63
Yunus ibn Yaqub said: I asked Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) about a person who drinks medicine and it sometimes kills him and sometimes gives him health, and mostly gives him health. The Imam said: Allah has sent down the pain, and He has also sent down the cure, and Allah has not created any pain, except that He has placed a medicine for it. So say 'In the name of Allah' and drink!
2 عَنِ الْحُسَیْنِ بْنِ عُلْوَانَ عن جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ: قِیلَ یَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَ نَتَدَاوَی قَالَ نَعَمْ فَتَدَاوَوْا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَمْ یُنْزِلْ دَاءً إِلَّا وَ قَدْ أَنْزَلَ لَهُ دَوَاءً...

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) narrated from his father that Jabir said: It was said to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family): Should we seek treatment? He said: Yes! Seek treatment, for Allah Almighty has not sent down any pain, except that He has sent down a cure for it!
✅ According to the above and other narrative principles, Allah Almighty has sent down a cure for every pain.
However, some things can cause an incurable pain:
3 عَنْ أَبِی بَصِیرٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْداللَّهِ قال: قَالَ أَمِیرُالْمُؤْمِنِینَ إِیَّاکُمْ وَ شُرْبَ الْمَاءِ قِیَاماً عَلَی أَرْجُلِکُمْ فَإِنَّهُ یُورِثُ الدَّاءَ الَّذِی لَا دَوَاءَ لَهُ إِلَّا أَنْ یُعَافِیَ اللَّهُ عَزَّوَجَلَّ.

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: Amir al-Mu'minin (peace be upon him) said: Avoid drinking water while standing on your feet, for it causes a pain for which there is no cure, unless Allah Almighty grants recovery!
4 جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قال قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ إِذَا جَامَعَ الرَّجُلُ فَلَا يَغْتَسِلْ حَتَّى يَبُولَ مَخَافَةَ أَنْ يَتَرَدَّدَ بَقِيَّةُ الْمَنِيِّ فَيَكُونَ مِنْهُ دَاءٌ لَا دَوَاءَ لَهُ

Amir al-Mu'minin (peace be upon him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family) said: When a man has intercourse, he should not perform ghusl (ritual bath) until he has urinated, for fear that the remaining semen might return and cause a pain that has no cure!
5 عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِی عُمَیْرٍ عَمَّنْ ذَکَرَهُ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْداللَّهِ قال: مَنْ تَعَمَّمَ وَ لَمْ یُحَنِّکْ فَأَصَابَهُ دَاءٌ لَا دَوَاءَ لَهُ فَلَا یَلُومَنَّ إِلَّا نَفْسَهُ.

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: Whoever ties a turban and does not pass it under his chin, and consequently a pain befalls him for which there is no cure, he should not blame anyone but himself!
6 عن عِیسَی بْنِ حَمْزَةَ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْداللَّهِ قَالَ: مَنِ اعْتَمَّ فَلَمْ یُدِرِ الْعِمَامَةَ تَحْتَ حَنَکِهِ فَأَصَابَهُ أَلَمٌ لَا دَوَاءَ لَهُ فَلَا یَلُومَنَّ إِلَّا نَفْسَهُ.

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: Whoever ties a turban and does not pass it under his chin, and consequently a pain befalls him for which there is no cure, he should not blame anyone but himself!
7 عن عَمَّارٍ السَّابَاطِیِّ عن أَبِی عَبْداللَّهِ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: مَنْ خَرَجَ فِی سَفَرٍ فَلَمْ یُدِرِ الْعِمَامَةَ تَحْتَ حَنَکِهِ فَأَصَابَهُ أَلَمٌ لَا دَوَاءَ لَهُ فَلَا یَلُومَنَّ إِلَّا نَفْسَهُ.

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: Whoever goes on a journey and does not pass his turban under his chin, and consequently a pain befalls him for which there is no cure, he should not blame anyone but himself!
8 عَنِ النَّبِيِّ أَنَّهُ قال: مَنْ صَلَّى بِغَيْرِ حَنَكٍ فَأَصَابَهُ دَاءٌ لَا دَوَاءَ لَهُ فَلَا يَلُومَنَّ إِلَّا نَفْسَهُ

The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family) said: Whoever prays without a 'taht al-hanak' (turban under the chin) and a pain befalls him for which there is no cure, he should not blame anyone but himself!
✅ Therefore, although every pain has a cure, certain things like wearing a turban without a 'taht al-hanak' during travel and prayer and in general, drinking water while standing at night, and not urinating after the release of semen, can cause an incurable pain!
