1 عَنْ سَعْدٍ الْإِسْكَافِ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ: أَيُّمَا مُؤْمِنٍ غَسَّلَ مُؤْمِناً فَقَالَ إِذَا قَلَّبَهُ اللَّهُمَ إنَّ هَذَا بَدَنُ عَبْدِكَ الْمُؤْمِنِ قَدْ أَخْرَجْتَ رُوحَهُ مِنْهُ وَ فَرَّقْتَ بَيْنَهُمَا فَعَفْوَكَ عَفْوَكَ إِلَّا غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَهُ ذُنُوبَ سَنَةٍ إِلَّا الْكَبَائِرَ

📚Al-Kafi, Vol. 3, p. 164

Translation: Imam Baqir (peace be upon him) said: 'Any believer who washes a deceased believer and says when he turns him over:

«اللَّهُمَ إنَّ هَذَا بَدَنُ عَبْدِكَ الْمُؤْمِنِ قَدْ أَخْرَجْتَ رُوحَهُ مِنْهُ وَ فَرَّقْتَ بَيْنَهُمَا فَعَفْوَكَ عَفْوَكَ»

Allah will forgive his sins of one year, except for the major sins.'

2 عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ: مَا مِنْ مُؤْمِنٍ يُغَسِّلُ مُؤْمِناً وَ يَقُولُ وَ هُوَ يُغَسِّلُهُ (يَا) رَبِّ عَفْوَكَ عَفْوَكَ- إِلَّا عَفَا اللَّهُ عَنْهُ

📚Al-Kafi, Vol. 3, p. 164

Translation: 'There is no believer who washes a deceased believer and says while washing him: 'O Lord, Your forgiveness, Your forgiveness,' except that Allah will forgive him (i.e., the washer).'

3 عَنْ أَبِي الْجَارُودِ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ: كَانَ فِيمَا نَاجَى بِهِ مُوسَى رَبَّهُ قَالَ يَا رَبِّ مَا لِمَنْ غَسَّلَ الْمَوْتَى فَقَالَ أَغْسِلُهُ مِنْ ذُنُوبِهِ كَمَا وَلَدَتْهُ أُمُّهُ

📚Al-Kafi, Vol. 3, p. 164

Translation: Imam Baqir (peace be upon him) said: 'Among what Prophet Moses (peace be upon him and his family) supplicated to his Lord was: He said: 'O Lord, what is the reward for one who washes the deceased?' He said: 'I will wash him from his sins as the day his mother gave birth to him.'

4 عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ: مَنْ غَسَّلَ مُؤْمِناً مَيِّتاً فَأَدَّى فِيهِ الْأَمَانَةَ غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَهُ قِيلَ وَ كَيْفَ يُؤَدِّي فِيهِ الْأَمَانَةَ قَالَ لَا يُخْبِرُ بِمَا يَرَى

📚Thawab al-A'mal, p. 232

Translation: Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: 'Whoever washes a deceased believer and fulfills the trust concerning him, Allah will forgive him.' It was said: 'How does he fulfill the trust concerning him?' He said: 'He does not reveal what he sees (of the deceased).'

5 مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ قَالَ: قَالَ الصَّادِقُ مَنْ غَسَّلَ مَيِّتاً فَسَتَرَ وَ كَتَمَ خَرَجَ مِنَ الذُّنُوبِ كَيَوْمَ وَلَدَتْهُ أُمُّهُ

📚Al-Faqih, Vol. 1, p. 141

Translation: Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: 'Whoever washes a deceased person, shrouds him, and keeps (what he sees of him) a secret, will emerge from his sins like the day he was born from his mother.'
