Question 2058: Is mazi that comes out due to forbidden lust, such as looking at a non-mahram, impure and must it be washed?

Answer
✅ Answer: Pay attention to the following narrations:
📚 Al-Kafi, Vol. 3, p. 54
Abu Basir says: I asked Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) about mazi that reaches the clothes; the Imam said: 'There is no issue!'
📚 Al-Kafi, Vol. 3, p. 39
Buraid ibn Mu'awiya says: I asked one of the two Imams, Baqir or Imam Sadiq (peace be upon them), about mazi; the Imam said: 'It does not invalidate wudu, and neither the clothes nor the body need to be washed from it, for it is like mucus or saliva!'
📚 Al-Kafi, Vol. 3, p. 39
Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: 'If during prayer something like wazi or wadi flows from your private part, do not wash it, do not interrupt the prayer because of it, and do not invalidate wudu for it, even if it reaches your heels! For these are like nasal mucus, phlegm, or saliva!'
📚 Al-Kafi, Vol. 3, p. 40
Muhammad ibn Muslim says: I asked Imam Baqir (peace be upon him) about mazi that flows until it reaches the thigh; the Imam said: 'It does not interrupt his prayer, and he does not wash it from his thigh, for it does not come out from the same place as semen; it is like nasal mucus or phlegm!'
📚 Al-Kafi, Vol. 3, p. 54
Anbasa ibn Mus'ab says: I heard Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) say: 'Regarding mazi, we do not see the need for wudu or washing what reaches the clothes, except in the case of semen!'
✅ One of the secretions that comes out of a man's private part is mazi, which is released after arousal.
According to the above narrations and others, this secretion is pure, does not interrupt prayer, does not invalidate wudu, and there is no need to wash it from clothes or the body.
✅ It is noteworthy that the above narrations and others are absolute and make no distinction whether the arousal leading to the release of mazi was from something forbidden or permissible; in either case, it is pure, does not require washing, and does not invalidate prayer or wudu.
