1⃣عَنْ عَلِیٍّ فِی حَدِیثِ الْأَرْبَعِمِائَةِ قَالَ: غَسْلُ الثِّیَابِ یُذْهِبُ الْهَمَّ وَ الْحَزَنَ وَ هُوَ طَهُورٌ لِلصَّلَاةِ.

📚 Al-Khisal, p. 612

The Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) said in the narration of the Four Hundred: Washing clothes removes sorrow and grief and is also a means of cleanliness for prayer!

2⃣عَنِ السَّکُونِیِّ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ مَنِ اتَّخَذَ ثَوْباً فَلْیُنَظِّفْهُ.

📚 Al-Kafi, vol. 6, p. 441

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: Whoever obtains clothing should keep it clean!

3⃣عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ مِسْمَعِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمَلِکِ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (علیه السلام) قَالَ: أَبْصَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلی الله علیه و آله رَجُلًا شَعِثاً شَعْرُ رَأْسِهِ وَسِخَةً ثِیَابُهُ سَیِّئَةً حَالُهُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلی الله علیه و آله مِنَ الدِّینِ الْمُتْعَةُ وَ إِظْهَارُ النِّعْمَةِ.

📚 Al-Kafi, vol. 6, p. 439

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) saw a man whose hair was messy, clothes were dirty, and appearance was unkempt. The Prophet said: Benefiting from and showing the blessings [of God] is part of the religion!

✅ Washing and cleaning clothes is generally recommended in narrations. However, there is neither a specific recommendation nor a prohibition regarding doing so on a particular day. Therefore, one cannot consider washing clothes on Friday to be disliked (makruh).
