✅أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَرْقِیُّ فِی الْمَحَاسِنِ عَنْ یَحْیَی بْنِ إِبْرَاهِیمَ بْنِ أَبِی الْبِلَادِ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ لِأَبِی جَعْفَرٍ ع إِنِّی لَأُحِبُّ هَذَا الرَّجُلَ فَقَالَ لَهُ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ علیه السلام فَأَعْلِمْهُ فَإِنَّهُ أَبْقَی لِلْمَوَدَّةِ وَ خَیْرٌ فِی الْأُلْفَةِ

📚 Al-Mahasin, Volume 1, Page 266

Abi al-Balad reports: A man said to Imam Baqir (peace be upon him): 'I swear by Allah, I love this person.' Imam Baqir (peace be upon him) replied: 'Inform him that you love him, for this ensures the continuation of affection and friendship and is good for building strong bonds.'

✅ In another narration, it is mentioned that the wife should be in a state of Wudu before coming to you, and you should also perform Wudu before reaching her. Then, perform two units of prayer, praise Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and his family, and tell those around you to say 'Ameen.' Read the following prayer:

اللَّهُمَّ ارْزُقْنِی إِلْفَهَا وَ وُدَّهَا وَ رِضَاهَا وَ رَضِّنِی بِهَا ثُمَّ اجْمَعْ بَیْنَنَا بِأَحْسَنِ اجْتِمَاعٍ وَ أَسَرِّ ائْتِلَافٍ فَإِنَّکَ تُحِبُّ الْحَلَالَ وَ تَکْرَهُ الْحَرَامَ

✅عَنْهُمْ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِیسَی عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ جُمَیْعٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلی الله علیه و آله قَوْلُ الرَّجُلِ لِلْمَرْأَةِ إِنِّی أُحِبُّکِ لَا یَذْهَبُ مِنْ قَلْبِهَا أَبَداً

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'The words of a man telling his wife, 'I love you,' will never depart from her heart.'
