✅ Answer: Consider the following narration:

1⃣عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَعِیدٍ عَنْ مُصَدِّقٍ عَنْ عَمَّارِ بْنِ مُوسَی عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ فِی الْمَدِینَةِ هَلْ هِیَ مِثْلُ الصَّلَاةِ فِی مَسْجِدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ قَالَ لَا إِنَّ الصَّلَاةَ فِی مَسْجِدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ أَلْفُ صَلَاةٍ وَ الصَّلَاةُ فِی الْمَدِینَةِ مِثْلُ الصَّلَاةِ فِی سَائِرِ الْبُلْدَانِ.

Ammar says: I asked Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) about prayer in Medina, whether it is like prayer in the Mosque of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family). The Imam said: No! Indeed, prayer in the Mosque of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family) is equivalent to a thousand prayers, but prayer in Medina is like prayer in other cities!

✅ Based on the above narration, prayer in the city of Medina does not have any special virtue, and the virtue is specific to Masjid an-Nabawi. Therefore, pilgrims to Medina should strive to perform their prayers only in Masjid an-Nabawi to benefit from its special virtue.
