✅ Answer: Yes! Because:

1⃣عن عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِیسَی عن خَالِدِ بْنِ نَجِیحٍ قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِأَبِی عَبْداللَّهِ علیه السلام جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ سَمَّی رَسُولُ اللَّهِ أَبَا بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّیقَ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ فَكَیْفَ قَالَ حِینَ كَانَ مَعَهُ فِی الْغَارِ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلی اللّٰه علیه و آله إِنِّی لَأَرَی سَفِینَةَ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ أَبِی طَالِبٍ تَضْطَرِبُ فِی الْبَحْرِ ضَالَّةً قَالَ یَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ و إِنَّكَ لَتَرَاهَا قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ فَتَقْدِرُ أَنْ تُرِیَنِیهَا قَالَ ادْنُ مِنِّی قَالَ فَدَنَا مِنْهُ فَمَسَحَ عَلَی عَیْنَیْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ انْظُرْ فَنَظَرَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ فَرَأَی السَّفِینَةَ و هِیَ تَضْطَرِبُ فِی الْبَحْرِ ثُمَّ نَظَرَ إِلَی قُصُورِ أَهْلِ الْمَدِینَةِ فَقَالَ فِی نَفْسِهِ الْآنَ صَدَّقْتُ أَنَّكَ سَاحِرٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلی اللّٰه علیه و آله الصِّدِّیقُ أَنْتَ.

📚 Basa’ir al-Darajat, p. 125

Khalid ibn Najih says: I said to Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him: May I be your ransom! Did the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, call Abu Bakr 'Siddiq'?! The Imam said: Yes! I said: How?! The Imam said: When he was with him in the cave, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, said: I see the ship of Ja’far ibn Abi Talib, peace be upon him, lost and distressed in the sea! He [Abu Bakr] said: O Messenger of Allah! Do you see it?! He said: Yes! He said: Can you show it to me? The Prophet said: Come closer to me! He came closer, and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, passed his hand over his eyes and then said: Look! So Abu Bakr looked and saw the ship distressed in the sea, and he also saw the houses of the people of Medina!

Then Abu Bakr said in his heart: Now I have 'confirmed' and believed that you are a sorcerer! So the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, said to him: You are the Siddiq!

2⃣أَبِی عَنْ بَعْضِ رِجَالِهِ رَفَعَهُ إِلَی أَبِی عَبْداللَّهِ عَلَیْهِ السَّلَامُ قال: لَمَّا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلی اللّٰه علیه و آله فِی الْغَارِ قَالَ لِأَبِی بَكْرٍ كَأَنِّی أَنْظُرُ إِلَی سَفِینَةِ جَعْفَرٍ وَ أَصْحَابِهِ یَعُومُ فِی الْبَحْرِ وَ أَنْظُرُ إِلَی الْأَنْصَارِ مُحْتَبِینَ فِی أَفْنِیَتِهِمْ فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَ تَرَاهُمْ یَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ فَأَرِنِیهِمْ فَمَسَحَ عَلَی عَیْنَیْهِ فَرَآهُمْ فَقَالَ فِی نَفْسِهِ الْآنَ صَدَّقْتُ أَنَّكَ سَاحِرٌ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلی اللّٰه علیه و آله أَنْتَ الصِّدِّیقِ.

📚 Tafsir al-Qummi, p. 265

Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, said: When the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, was in the cave, he said to Abu Bakr: It is as if I see the ship of Ja’far and his companions sailing in the sea, and I see the Ansar sitting in front of their houses in the manner of ihtiba’!

Abu Bakr said: And you see them, O Messenger of Allah?! He said: Yes! He said: Show them to me! The Prophet passed his hand over his eyes, and he saw them! And in his heart, he said: Now I have confirmed and believed that you are a sorcerer! So the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, said to him: You are the Siddiq!

✅ Dear Shia! Remain calm regarding the events that have recently or previously occurred, and do not doubt that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, himself gave the title 'Siddiq' to the first usurper! Just know that if 'Siddiq' is used for the first usurper, it means that the first usurper believed and was convinced that the Prophet was a sorcerer. The true and essential meaning of Siddiq is exclusively for Amir al-Mu’minin, peace be upon him:

3⃣عن الحكم بن الصلت عن أَبِی جَعْفَرٍ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِیٍّ عَنْ آبَائِهِ صلوات اللّٰه علیهم قَالَ قال رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلی اللّٰه علیه و آله خُذُوا بِحُجْزَةِ هَذَا الْأَنْزَعِ یَعْنِی عَلِیّاً فَإِنَّهُ الصِّدِّیقُ الْأَكْبَرُ وَ هُوَ الْفَارُوقُ یُفَرِّقُ بَیْنَ الْحَقِّ وَ الْبَاطِلِ مَنْ أَحَبَّهُ هَدَاهُ اللَّهُ وَ مَنْ أَبْغَضَهُ أَبْغَضَهُ اللَّهُ وَ مَنْ تَخَلَّفَ عَنْهُ مَحَقَهُ اللَّه...

📚 Amali al-Saduq, p. 130

Imam Baqir narrated from his forefathers that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, said: Hold fast to the mantle of this bald one, meaning Ali, peace be upon him, for he is the Siddiq al-Akbar! He is the Farooq who distinguishes between truth and falsehood. Whoever loves him, Allah will guide him; whoever hates him, Allah will hate him; and whoever disobeys him, Allah will destroy him!

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ عَجِّلْ لِوَلِیِّکَ الْفَرَجَ وَ الْعَافِیَةَ وَ النَّصْر
