✅ Answer: Pay attention to the following narrations:

1⃣عَنْ سَعِیدٍ الْأَعْرَجِ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ الطَّوَافِ أَ یَکْتَفِی الرَّجُلُ بِإِحْصَاءِ صَاحِبِهِ فَقَالَ نَعَمْ.

📚 Al-Kafi, Vol. 4, p. 427

Sa’id A’raj says: I asked Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, about tawaf, whether a person can rely on the counting of their companion. The Imam said: Yes!

2⃣وَ رَوَی ابْنُ مُسْکَانَ عَنِ الْهُذَیْلِ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ علیه السلام فِی الرَّجُلِ یَتَّکِلُ عَلَی عَدَدِ صَاحِبَتِهِ فِی الطَّوَافِ أَ یُجْزِیهِ عَنْهُمَا وَ عَنِ الصَّبِیِّ فَقَالَ نَعَمْ أَ لَا تَرَی أَنَّکَ تَأْتَمُّ بِالْإِمَامِ إِذَا صَلَّیْتَ خَلْفَهُ وَ هُوَ مِثْلُهُ

📚 Al-Faqih, Vol. 2, p. 410

Ibn Miskan narrated from Hudhayl from Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, regarding a person who relies on the counting of their spouse during tawaf, asking whether it suffices for both of them and for a child. He said: Yes! Do you not see that you follow the imam of the congregation when you pray behind them? This case is similar to that!

✅ Based on the above narrations and others, one can rely on and trust the counting of the rounds of tawaf by another person and base their tawaf on it.

✅ If multiple people performing tawaf count together and disagree, pay attention to the following narration:

3⃣عَنْ عَلِیِّ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِیمَ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ ثَلَاثَةٍ دَخَلُوا فِی الطَّوَافِ فَقَالَ وَاحِدٌ مِنْهُمْ احْفَظُوا الطَّوَافَ فَلَمَّا ظَنُّوا أَنَّهُمْ قَدْ فَرَغُوا قَالَ وَاحِدٌ مِنْهُمْ مَعِی سِتَّةُ أَشْوَاطٍ قَالَ إِنْ شَکُّوا کُلُّهُمْ فَلْیَسْتَأْنِفُوا وَ إِنْ لَمْ یَشُکُّوا وَ عَلِمَ کُلُّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمْ مَا فِی یَدَیْهِ فَلْیَبْنُوا.

📚 Al-Kafi, Vol. 4, p. 429

Safwan says: I asked (the Imam, peace be upon him) about three people who begin tawaf, and one of them says: Keep count and remember. When they think they have finished, one of them says: According to my count, it is six rounds. The Imam said: If all of them are in doubt, they must restart the tawaf from the beginning. But if they are not in doubt and each is certain of the number of rounds they have counted, each should rely on their own knowledge!
