Question 1970: Is breastfeeding a baby while in a state of impurity (janabah) prohibited?
✅ Answer: Refer to the following narrations:
1⃣ In part of the well-known Ziyarat of Al-Yasin, we say to our master Imam al-Mahdi (peace be upon him):
Translation: So, the truth is what you approve, and falsehood is what you disapprove and consider undesirable. Goodness is what you command, and evil is what you forbid!
📚 Al-Ihtijaj, p. 275
📚 Al-Kafi, Vol. 2, p. 46
Amir al-Mu'minin (peace be upon him) said: I will explain the lineage of Islam in a way that no one before me has explained, nor will anyone after me explain except in the same manner:
Verily, Islam is submission, submission is certainty, certainty is affirmation, affirmation is confession, confession is action, and action is performance. A believer does not take their religion from their opinion but receives it from their Lord and acts upon it!
📚 Al-Faqih, Vol. 1, p. 317
Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: Everything is permissible until there is a specific prohibition!
✅ According to the above narrations, undesirable and prohibited actions are those explicitly forbidden by the Infallibles. Since no actionable text from the Infallibles regarding the undesirability of breastfeeding in a state of impurity has reached us, it cannot be considered undesirable or prohibited. In the commonly used and credible Shia sources, there is no general or specific narration prohibiting breastfeeding in a state of janabah, so there is no basis for a religious prohibition.

✅ In obedience to the command of our master in the narration 'And increase supplication for the hastening of relief,' we say it frequently and abundantly:
