✅ Answer: Consider the following narrations:

1⃣ Al-Sabbati narrated from Abu Abdullah (Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him) who said: 'The first thing a servant will be questioned about when standing before Allah, the Glorified, is the obligatory prayers, the obligatory zakat, the obligatory fasting, the obligatory hajj, and our Wilayah (guardianship of the Ahl al-Bayt). If he acknowledges our Wilayah and dies upon it, his prayers, fasting, zakat, and hajj will be accepted. But if he does not acknowledge our Wilayah before Allah, the Glorified, none of his deeds will be accepted.'

📚 *Al-Amali of Al-Saduq*, p. 154

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: 'Indeed, the first thing a servant is questioned about when standing before Allah, the Exalted, is the obligatory prayers, zakat, fasting, hajj, and our Wilayah. If he acknowledges our Wilayah and dies upon it, his deeds will be accepted. Otherwise, Allah, the Glorified, will accept nothing from him.'

2⃣ Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) narrated from his father, from his ancestors, who said: 'Gabriel descended upon the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) and said: O Muhammad! Allah, the Exalted, conveys His peace to you and says: I created the seven heavens and all within them, the seven earths and all upon them, and I created no place more exalted than the Corner (Rukn) and the Station (Maqam). If a servant worships Me at that place from the time I created the heavens and the earth until he meets Me while rejecting the Wilayah of Ali (peace be upon him), I would surely cast him face-first into Hell.'

3⃣ Salman al-A'mash narrated from Ja'far (Imam Sadiq), peace be upon him.

محمد عن آبَائِهِ عن أَمِیرالْمُؤْمِنِینَ علیه السلام قَالَ: قَالَ لِی رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلی الله علیه و آله یَا عَلِیُّ أَنْتَ أَمِیرُ الْمُؤْمِنِینَ وَ إِمَامُ الْمُتَّقِینَ یَا عَلِیُّ أَنْتَ سَیِّدُ الْوَصِیِّینَ و وَارِثُ عِلْمِ النَّبِیِّینَ وَ خَیْرُ الصِّدِّیقِینَ وَ أَفْضَلُ السَّابِقِینَ یَا عَلِیُّ أَنْتَ زَوْجُ سَیِّدَةِ نِسَاءِ الْعَالَمِینَ وَ خَلِیفَةُ خَیْرِ الْمُرْسَلِینَ یَا عَلِیُّ أَنْتَ مَوْلَی الْمُؤْمِنِینَ و الْحُجَّةُ بَعْدِی عَلَی النَّاسِ أَجْمَعِینَ اسْتَوْجَبَ الْجَنَّةَ مَنْ تَوَلَّاکَ وَ اسْتَوْجَبَ دُخُولَ النَّارِ مَنْ عَادَاکَ یَا عَلِیُّ وَ الَّذِی بَعَثَنِی بِالنُّبُوَّةِ وَ اصْطَفَانِی عَلَی جَمِیعِ الْبَرِیَّةِ لَوْ أَنَّ عَبْداً عَبَدَ اللَّهَ أَلْفَ عَامٍ مَا قُبِلَ ذَلِکَ مِنْهُ إِلَّا بِوَلَایَتِکَ وَ وَلَایَةِ الْأَئِمَّةِ مِنْ وُلْدِکَ وَ إِنَّ وَلَایَتَکَ لَا تُقْبَلُ إِلَّا بِالْبَرَاءَةِ مِنْ أَعْدَائِکَ وَ أَعْدَاءِ الْأَئِمَّةِ مِنْ وُلْدِکَ بِذَلِکَ أَخْبَرَنِی جَبْرَئِیلُ علیه السلام فَمَنْ شاءَ فَلْیُؤْمِنْ وَ مَنْ شاءَ فَلْیَکْفُرْ

📚 *Kanz al-Karajaki*, p. 185

Imam Ali (peace be upon him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said to me: 'O Ali! You are the Commander of the Faithful and the leader of the pious. O Ali! You are the master of the successors, the inheritor of the knowledge of the prophets, the best of the truthful, and the foremost among the righteous. O Ali! You are the husband of the mistress of the women of the worlds and the successor to the best of messengers. O Ali! You are the guardian of the believers and the proof over all people after me. Whoever holds your Wilayah will be destined for Paradise, and whoever opposes you will be destined for Hell.'

The Prophet continued: 'By the One who sent me as a prophet and chose me above all creation, if a servant worships Allah for a thousand years, it will not be accepted except through your Wilayah and the Wilayah of the Imams from your descendants.'

The Prophet further said: 'Indeed, your Wilayah is only accepted with disassociation from your enemies and the enemies of the Imams from your descendants. Gabriel informed me of this. Let whoever wishes to believe do so, and whoever wishes to disbelieve do so.'

📚 *Al-Sara'ir*, Vol. 3, p. 640

It was said to Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him): 'So-and-so holds your Wilayah, but he is weak in disassociating from your enemies.' The Imam replied: 'Impossible! He lies who claims to hold our Wilayah but does not disassociate from our enemies!'

✅ Based on numerous narrations in the Shia hadith collections, the condition for the acceptance of deeds before Allah is the correct belief in the Wilayah of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).

4⃣قِیلَ لِلصَّادِقِ علیه السلام إِنَّ فُلَاناً یُوَالِیکُمْ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ یَضْعُفُ عَنِ الْبَرَاءَةِ مِنْ عَدُوِّکُمْ فَقَالَ هَیْهَاتَ کَذَبَ مَنِ ادَّعَی ولایتنا وَ لَمْ یَتَبَرَّأْ مِنْ عَدُوِّنَا.

However, the condition for the acceptance of Wilayah is disassociation from the enemies of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them). Without such disassociation, the claim of Wilayah is false.
