1⃣روی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَیْمُونٍ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ آبَائِهِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ الصَّبِیُّ وَ الصَّبِیُّ وَ الصَّبِیُّ وَ الصَّبِیَّةُ وَ الصَّبِیَّةُ وَ الصَّبِیَّةُ یُفَرَّقُ بَیْنَهُمْ فِی الْمَضَاجِعِ لِعَشْرِ سِنِینَ

📚 Al-Fiqh, Volume 3, Page 436

Imam Sadiq narrated from his father and ancestors, peace be upon them, that the Prophet of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The sleeping quarters of boys with boys, boys with girls, and girls with girls should be separated at the age of ten!

2⃣قَالَ وَ رُوِیَ أَنَّهُ یُفَرَّقُ بَیْنَ الصِّبْیَانِ فِی الْمَضَاجِعِ لِسِتِّ سِنِینَ.

Sheikh Saduq said: It has also been narrated that the children's sleeping quarters should be separated at the age of six!

3⃣عَنْ عِیسَی بْنِ زَیْدٍ رَفَعُهُ إِلَی أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ: یَثَّغِرُ الْغُلَامُ لِسَبْعِ سِنِینَ وَ یُؤْمَرُ بِالصَّلَاةِ لِتِسْعٍ وَ یُفَرَّقُ بَیْنَهُمْ فِی الْمَضَاجِعِ لِعَشْرٍ وَ یَحْتَلِمُ لِأَرْبَعَ عَشْرَةَ وَ مُنْتَهَی طُولِهِ لِاثْنَتَیْنِ وَ عِشْرِینَ وَ مُنْتَهَی عَقْلِهِ لِثَمَانٍ وَ عِشْرِینَ سَنَةً إِلَّا التَّجَارِبَ.

📚 Al-Kafi, Volume 6, Page 46

Isa bin Zayd narrated that Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, said: A boy’s permanent teeth start to grow at the age of seven, he is commanded to pray at the age of nine, becomes mature at fourteen, reaches his full height by the age of twenty-two, and his intellectual maturity at the age of twenty-eight, except through experiences!

4⃣عَنِ ابْنِ الْقَدَّاحِ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ: یُفَرَّقُ بَیْنَ الْغِلْمَانِ وَ بَیْنَ النِّسَاءِ فِی الْمَضَاجِعِ إِذَا بَلَغُوا عَشْرَ سِنِینَ.

📚 Al-Kafi, Volume 6, Page 47

Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, said: The sleeping quarters of boys and women are separated when they reach ten years old!

✅ According to the above narrations and others, boys with boys, girls with girls, and girls with boys should not share sleeping quarters when they reach ten lunar years old. Their sleeping places must be separated, and they should not sleep together in one room.

Although Sheikh Saduq said there is also a narration for the age of six, most narrations specify the age of ten for separating sleeping quarters.

✅ Islamic educational principles promote the health of the family and society, but unfortunately, there is negligence today in teaching these hadiths to people and in their implementation. As a result, society is continuously declining, and social, familial, and individual problems and corruption are increasing day by day. Certainly, those who position themselves as Islamic educators but neglect the teachings of Ahl al-Bayt, peace be upon them, in all areas, are responsible because, according to the following hadith, they have shirked the duty that was placed upon them:

5⃣عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ زَیْدٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ: قَرَأْتُ فِی کِتَابِ عَلِیٍّ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَمْ یَأْخُذْ عَلَی الْجُهَّالِ عَهْداً بِطَلَبِ الْعِلْمِ حَتَّی أَخَذَ عَلَی الْعُلَمَاءِ عَهْداً بِبَذْلِ الْعِلْمِ لِلْجُهَّالِ لِأَنَّ الْعِلْمَ کَانَ قَبْلَ الْجَهْلِ.

📚 Al-Kafi, Volume 1, Page 41

Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, said: I read in the book of Ali, peace be upon him: Verily, Allah did not take a covenant from the ignorant to seek knowledge until He first took a covenant from the scholars to impart knowledge to the ignorant, because knowledge precedes ignorance!
