1⃣ Hasan ibn Jahm says: Imam Abu al-Hasan (peace be upon him) said: When you leave your house, whether for travel or otherwise, say:

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ آمَنْتُ بِاللَّهِ تَوَکَّلْتُ عَلَی اللَّهِ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ لَا حَوْلَ وَ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ

"In this case, the devils will meet him and then retreat, and the angels will strike their faces and say: How do you have any way towards him when he has mentioned the name of Allah, believed, and said, 'Whatever Allah wills, there is no power or strength except with Allah!'"

2⃣ Abu Hamza says: Imam Baqir (peace be upon him) said in a narration: Whoever says the following when leaving the house:

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ حَسْبِیَ اللَّهُ تَوَکَّلْتُ عَلَی اللَّهِ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّی أَسْأَلُکَ خَیْرَ أُمُورِی کُلِّهَا وَ أَعُوذُ بِکَ مِنْ خِزْیِ الدُّنْیَا وَ عَذَابِ الْآخِرَةِ

"Allah will suffice him in all matters of this world and the hereafter that worry and grieve him!"

3⃣ Abi Khadija says: When Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) would leave the house, he would say:

اللَّهُمَّ بِکَ خَرَجْتُ وَ لَکَ أَسْلَمْتُ وَ بِکَ آمَنْتُ وَ عَلَیْکَ تَوَکَّلْتُ اللَّهُمَّ بَارِکْ لِی فِی یَوْمِی هَذَا وَ ارْزُقْنِی فَوْزَهُ وَ فَتْحَهُ وَ نَصْرَهُ وَ طَهُورَهُ وَ هُدَاهُ وَ بَرَکَتَهُ وَ اصْرِفْ عَنِّی شَرَّهُ وَ شَرَّ مَا فِیهِ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَ بِاللَّهِ وَ اللَّهُ أَکْبَرُ وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِینَ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّی قَدْ خَرَجْتُ فَبَارِکْ لِی فِی خُرُوجِی وَ انْفَعْنِی بِهِ

"The narrator says: And when he would enter his house, he would say it as well!"

✅ The above supplication is to be said when entering the house with the verb 'dakhaltu' (I entered).

4⃣ Imam Reza (peace be upon him) said: My father, when leaving his house, would say:

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِیمِ خَرَجْتُ بِحَوْلِ اللَّهِ وَ قُوَّتِهِ لَا بِحَوْلٍ مِنِّی وَ لَا قُوَّتِی بَلْ بِحَوْلِکَ وَ قُوَّتِکَ یَا رَبِّ مُتَعَرِّضاً لِرِزْقِکَ فَأْتِنِی بِهِ فِی عَافِیَةٍ

5⃣ Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: Whoever recites Surah 'Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad' ten times when leaving the house will always be under the protection and care of Allah, the Exalted and Majestic, until he returns to his home!

6⃣ Imam Baqir (peace be upon him) when leaving the house would say:

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ خَرَجْتُ وَ عَلَی اللَّهِ تَوَکَّلْتُ وَ لَا حَوْلَ وَ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ

7⃣ Imam Baqir (peace be upon him) said: Whoever says the following when leaving the door of his house:

أَعُوذُ بِمَا عَاذَتْ بِهِ مَلَائِکَةُ اللَّهِ مِنْ شَرِّ هَذَا الْیَوْمِ الْجَدِیدِ الَّذِی إِذَا غَابَتْ شَمْسُهُ لَمْ تَعُدْ مِنْ شَرِّ نَفْسِی وَ مِنْ شَرِّ غَیْرِی وَ مِنْ شَرِّ الشَّیَاطِینِ وَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَنْ نَصَبَ لِأَوْلِیَاءِ اللَّهِ وَ مِنْ شَرِّ الْجِنِّ وَ الْإِنْسِ وَ مِنْ شَرِّ السِّبَاعِ وَ الْهَوَامِّ وَ مِنْ شَرِّ رُکُوبِ الْمَحَارِمِ کُلِّهَا أُجِیرُ نَفْسِی بِاللَّهِ مِنْ کُلِّ شَرٍّ

"Allah will forgive him, accept his repentance, suffice him from worries, prevent harm from him, and protect him from evil!"

8⃣ Abu Hamza says: I came to the door of Imam Sajjad (peace be upon him) and when he was about to leave the house, I encountered him. The Imam then said:

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ آمَنْتُ بِاللَّهِ وَ تَوَکَّلْتُ عَلَی اللَّه

"Then he said: O Abu Hamza! Indeed, when a servant leaves his house, Satan confronts him. But when he says 'Bismillah' (In the name of Allah), the two angels with him say: You are sufficed, and when he says 'Amantu Billah' (I believe in Allah), they say: You are guided, and when he says 'Tawakkaltu 'ala Allah' (I rely on Allah), they say: You are protected! Then Satan withdraws, and one of the angels says to the other: How can we have any way over one who is guided, sufficed, and protected!"

"Then the Imam said:"

اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّ عِرْضِی لَکَ الْیَوْمَ

9⃣ Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: Imam Baqir (peace be upon him) would say the following when leaving his house:

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ خَرَجْتُ وَ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَلَجْتُ وَ عَلَی اللَّهِ تَوَکَّلْتُ وَ لَا حَوْلَ وَ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ الْعَلِیِّ الْعَظِیمِ
